UNIONDALE, N. Authentic Atlanta Falcons Jerseys .Y. -- Leading 3-0 with only 11:25 left, the Colorado Avalanche committed a seemingly meaningless penalty to give the New York Islanders a power play. But then, the Avalanche committed three more infractions over the next 3:44, and the Islanders took advantage to score two 5-on-3 goals. Somehow, Colorado survived Saturday night. The Avalanche regained their composure, and held on to beat the Islanders 5-2 -- the deceptive margin coming as the result of two empty-net goals in the final minute. Matt Duchene scored twice in a 2:44 span to give Colorado that three-goal advantage. Nathan MacKinnon got the Avalanche on the board, and Gabriel Landeskog and Paul Stasny added the empty-netters. Jean-Sebastien Giguere allowed the two 5-on-3 goals, but was otherwise string, stopping 30 shots. Colorado coach Patrick Roy credited his squad for not panicking after giving up the 5-on-3 goals. "I thought we remained pretty calm on the bench," Roy said. "We had a power play that gave us some momentum back. ... And we also had (a) great save. I think (Giguere) touched it with his glove at the end. That was a big save for us." Duchene broke a nine-goal drought to reach 101 for his career. Roy didnt believe Duchene was pressing in search of his 100th goal. "People made a big story of that, but not me," Roy said. "He had chances.every night. It was just a matter of time. And tonight he was resilient. He went to the net, he stayed there, and took advantage of the rebound. And then the second shot was a perfect shot. Right under the bar. It was a beauty." The win snapped a two-game skid for Colorado, and gave it some momentum going into the Olympic break. "Im very proud of our players," Roy said. "Hopefully, our guys have a good 10 days off." For the Islanders it was a disappointing end to the pre-Olympic portion of the schedule. All appeared to be lost in the second period, where they looked extremely sluggish and could only manage four shots on goal. But the flurry of Colorado penalties ignited the New York offence. John Tavares scored his 24th goal of the season to put the Islanders on the board with 8:43 remaining. Just 57 seconds later, Lubomir Visnovsky added another, to cut the deficit to one. The Islanders had the momentum on their side, and a raucous crowd behind them. They also had another 1:55 on the power play. But they were unable to get the equalizer. Islanders coach Jack Capuano was frustrated by the fact that his team was dominant in significant stretches of the first and third periods, but couldnt turn it into a positive result. "Same old story," Capuano said. "We dominated the game, and we dont win the hockey game. ... We had some unbelievable chances. Give their goaltender credit. He played extremely well." Capuano expressed hope that his club will bounce back after the time off. "We will take.three or four days and regroup, and go through some video of the first half, things that we need to work on, and try to concentrate on those areas." NOTES: Landeskog extended his point streak for the Avalanche to nine games. He assisted on MacKinnons first period goal, in addition to the empty netter. ... PA Parenteau was held without a point in his return to the Nassau Coliseum. Parenteau spent two seasons with the Islanders before signing with the Avalanche in the summer of 2012. NEW YORK -- Curtis Granderson is heading across town, where the New York Mets hope his home run swing wont suffer at Citi Field. Cincinnati Bengals Jerseys . The free-agent outfielder agreed to a $60 million, four-year contract with the Mets, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Friday because the deal was pending a physical and no announcement had been made. Granderson, who turns 33 in March, comes over from the crosstown Yankees and gives the Mets much-needed power in their punchless outfield. He batted .229 with seven homers and 15 RBIs this year, when wrist and hand injuries limited him to 61 games. But he surpassed 40 homers in each of his previous two seasons in pinstripes. The move marks general manager Sandy Aldersons most expensive free-agent signing -- by far -- after three years of bargain shopping as the Mets rebuilt. A three-time All-Star, Granderson provides proven thump from the left side of the plate to complement right-handed hitter David Wright in a lineup that managed only 130 home runs last season -- tied for 25th among 30 major league teams. New York also signed free-agent outfielder Chris Young to a $7.25 million, one-year contract this off-season. Granderson has played centre field most of his career but spent time in both left and right last season. He figures to fill a corner spot with the Mets, who plan to use defensive whiz Juan Lagares or Young in centre. New Yorks outfield combined to hit .238 this year (29th in the majors) with 50 homers (tied for 24th) and 209 RBIs (16th), according to STATS. The group also includes speedy left fielder Eric Young Jr., the NL stolen base leader. Granderson turned down a $14.1 million qualifying offer from the Yankees to test the open market. The Mets, however, would not have to forfeit their first-round draft pick to sign him because they own the 10th overall selection. The top 10 picks are protected. Granderson hit 41 home runs in 2011, when he led the American League in runs (136) and RBIs (119) and finished fourth in MVP voting. He had 43 homers and 106 RBIs in 2012, taking advantage of the short right-field porch at Yankee Stadium. The Mets hope his power will translate to spacious Citi Field, where its more difficult to clear the fences. Grandersons numbers have declined the past two years, down to a .317 on-base percentage and .407 slugging mark last season. He also is prone to strikeouts -- whiffing 364 times from 2011-2012 -- and joins a Mets lineup that fanned 1,384 times this year, tied with Atlanta for most in the NL. But his bat is a significant upgrade for the Mets, starved for offence following their fifth straight losing season since moving into Citi Field. Now, the club can focus on other areas of need -- shortstop, first base, the pitching staff -- heading into baseballs winter meetings next week. Granderson was on the disabled list twice last season after getting hit by pitches. He missed the first 38 games after breaking his right wrist when he was plunked by Toronto left-hander J.A. Happ in his first spring training plate appearance on Feb. 24. Not long after he returned, Granderson broke a knuckle on his left pinkie when he was hit at Tampa Bay on May 24. That kept him out until August, making Granderson one of several Yankees stars to be sidelined much of the season. New York was unable to overcome all the injuries, missing the playoffs for only the second time in 19 years. Grandersons agreement with the Mets was first reported by the New York Post. Kamil Stoch of Poland won the gold medal for the mens individual large hill ski jumping final round with a final score of 278. Max Scharping Jersey .7 on Saturday at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi Calgarys Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes finished with a total score of 237.9, good for 25th place. Japans Noriaki Kasai claimed the silver medal by hitting a final score of 277.4. Peter Prevc of Slovenia won the bronze finishing with 274.8 points. Stoch, 26, became the third man in Olympic history to win both the normal hill and large hill events. Switzerlands Simon Ammann accomplished the feat in 2010 at the Vancouver Games. Ammann is well finished in 23rd in this event. Finlands Matti Nykanen first accomplished the double gold feat at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. The top 30 jumpers of the qualifying round moved onto the final, but neither of Boyd-Clowes teammates were able to join him. Trevor Morrice of Calgary finished in 42nd with a score of 103.4, jumping 121.5 metres. Matthew Rowley of Red Deer, Alta., was disqualified because his suit was too big, violating competition rules. The scores of the final jump were added to the previous round, making a two-jump total. Stoch, who won gold in the mens normal hill earlier in the Games and entered the event as the world number one. He led all competitors with a score of 143.4, jumping 139 metres, tied for longest in the round and had a second jump of 132.5 metres earning him 135.3 points in the finals. Another disappointing jump saw Austrias Gregor Schlierenzauer well back in 14th after qualifications with 124.6 points and finished in seventh with a final score of 255.2. Schlierenzauer holds the record for most World Cup victories (52), but only has two bronze medals to his name in the Olympics. He finished 11th on the normal hill. Rowleys not the biggest suit in the field Rowleys disqualification surprised Curtis Lyon, the high performance director for Canada Ski Jumping. "The suit was legal the last time we tested it," Lyon said, according to the CBCs Doug Gelevan. Loose suits can create lift, allowing athletes to fly farther. "He definitively doesnt have the biggest suit in the field," Lyon said. "Its not technically cheating in ski jumping, if you look around some of the guys suits are definitively baggier. NEW ORLEANS -- Rudy Gay went from ejection to redemption in just a couple of days. One game after a miserable showing in Oklahoma City, Gay tied a career high with 41 points and the Sacramento Kings cruised to a 114-97 victory at the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. "Honestly, I didnt even know how much I scored," Gay said. "It was more about getting the win." In a loss two nights earlier to the Thunder, Gay scored only six points before being sent off the court with two technical fouls in the fourth quarter. But Gay hit 16 of 25 shots in the Big Easy, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range, to match a point total he last put up on Dec. 13, 2009, in Miami. It was going so well for Gay that he casually walked the ball up the court with an eye on the clock late in the third quarter, and then drilled a pull-up jumper from 27 feet. "He put on a show tonight, coming off a game in Oklahoma City where he didnt play very well and got thrown out," Kings coach Michael Malone said. "He wanted to bounce back and show everybody what he is capable of." DeMarcus Cousins had 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks for the Kings, who have won five of eight. Isaiah Thomas added 20 points and 11 assists. "When in doubt, go to Rudy and youll get an assist," Thomas said. "He really carried us tonight." Tyreke Evans scored 17 for New Orleans, which trimmed a 23-point deficit to six shortly before halftime, only to fall behind by 23 again in the third quarter and remain behind by double digits the rest of the way. Anthony Davis scored 16 points and blocked four shots, and New Orleans rookie centre Jeff Withey had a career-high 14 points, but that was not nearly enough to prevent the Pelicans from losing for the ninth time in 10 games. The latest loss came one night after the Pelicans snapped an eight-game skid in Memphis. "We just didnt have a lot of juice collectively from our starters tonight and certainly didnt play with any kind of intensity that was comparable to what we did last night," Pelicans coach Monty Williams said. "That is just part of being a pro and understanding that when you have an emotional win like we did last night, theres a quick turnaround." Quincy Acy grabbed 10 rebounds for the Kings, who outrebounded New Orleanns 46-35. Texans Jerseys China. The Kings were the sharper team from the outset, shooting 70 per cent (14 of 20) in the first period, during which they scored 38 points and built an 18-point lead. "Obviously I could point to a few things, but that would be emotional and I dont want to do that," Williams said. "Theres some things Ive discussed with our team that they need to be better at, and they understand. ... Were not the type of team that can just put our jersey on and step onto the floor. Weve got to go out and play with a high level of energy." New Orleans had 10 players in uniform, out of 15 on the roster. Ryan Anderson (herniated disk), Jrue Holiday (stress fracture, right shin) and Jason Smith (right knee) were injured. Reserve shooting guard Anthony Morrow was sick and newly acquired guard Tyshawn Taylor was not with the team. All 10 active players had checked in before the first quarter ended, in part because four players --Davis, Al-Farouq Aminu, Greg Stiemsma and Alexis Ajinca -- each had two fouls in the period. The Kings lead grew to 23 on Gays 3 midway through the second quarter, and it might have been worse if not for Witheys 12 points in the period. New Orleans enjoyed momentum for only the last half of the second period, scoring on 10 of its last 11 possessions. Witheys dunk sparked a 12-3 spurt, capped by Roberts fast-break layup. Next came an 11-2 run during which Evans scored eight, trimming Sacramentos lead to six before Derrick Williams free throws gave the Kings a 64-56 halftime lead. The Pelicans second-quarter surge put them in striking distance of a memorable comeback, but Sacramento opened the third with a 17-4 run. The surge began with two baskets by Cousins and included two 3s by Gay, the second making it 83-60. "When we play that type of basketball, were a tough team to beat," Cousins said. "Weve got a long way to go to grow as a team, but were definitely on the right path." NOTES: The Kings conclude a six-game road trip Wednesday night at Houston. They are 2-3 on the trip so far. ... Baltimore Ravens 1 (17) - C. Logan Thomas Jersey .J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama; 2 (48) - Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State; 3 (79) - Terrence Brooks, FS, Florida State; 3 (99) - Crockett Gilmore, TE, Colorado State; 4 (134) - Brent Urban, DT, Virginia; 4 (138) - Lorenzo Taliaferro, RB, Coastal Carolina; 5 (175) - John Urschel, OG, Penn State; 6 (194) - Keith Wenning, QB, Ball State; 7 (218) - Mike Campanaro, WR, Wake Forest Top Picks Analysis: Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome is regarded as one of the best talent evaluators in football and he shined again this year, bolstering the interior of the front seven by snaring a pair of first-round talents in the opening two rounds, Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley at No. 17 overall and Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan with the 48th selection. The Ravens have been lacking a bit in the middle since losing Ray Lewis to retirement and Dannell Ellerbe to free agency after winning Super Bowl XLVII. Mosley, an instinctive read-and-react linebacker, should hit the ground running next to veteran Daryl Smith. "Hes such a solid football player," NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock said when discussing Mosley. "There are some concerns about his shoulder, but he was medically cleared by just about every team. Hes a plug-and-play linebacker in a 3-4 defense. He pursues sideline to sideline. This is a typical Baltimore Ravens solid football player." Jernigan, fell a bit due to a diluted urine sample at the NFL Scouting Combine. He is regarded as a pure three-technique, however, so he may not be a great fit for the 3-4 but he had too much talent for Newsome to pass up. Jernigans teammate with the Seminoles, third-round safety Terrence Brooks, was a solid pick at a position of need and he will be given every opportunity to start opposite Matt Elam next season. The teams other third-round choice, Colorado State tight end Crockett Gilmore, is the pure in-line tight end needed to complement Dennis Pitta and free agent acquisition Owen Daniels. Best Value Pick: Wake Forest wide receiver Mike Campanaro was a nice roll of the dice in the final round. Campanaro is a pure slot receiver who could be something if he pays more attention to detail while running routes. Questionable Calls: As noted Jernigan projects as a pure three-technique and just doesnt have the mass to play inside at nose tackle in Dean Pees 3-4 nor the length to turn into a real option as a five-technique. Summary: More often than not Newsomes moves smack of common sense and with the exception of the Jernigan pick, that was the case again this time around. The Ravens added a potential difference maker at inside linebacker and a prospective starter at safety. If they can figure out how to harness Jernigans natural skills in their scheme, this should turn out to be a home run. FINAL GRADE: B Undrafted rookie free agent signings: LB Zach Orr, North Texas; WR Darius Bell, UCLA; WR Jeremy Butler, Tennessee-Martin; OT James Hurst, North Carolina; DT Derrick Hopkins, Virginia Tech; DT Jamie Meder, Ashland; LB Terrance Bullitt, Texas Tech; DL A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama; 6 (212) - Marquis Flowers, OLB, Arizona; 7 (239) - James Wright, WR, LSU; 7 (252) - Lavelle Westbrooks, CB, Georgia Southern Top Pick Analysis: The Bengals had a very productive draft, standing pat at No. 24 and landing what some believe was the best cornerback in the draft, Michigan State press-corner star Darqueze Dennard. Beefing up the cornerback position was a key for Cincy because Leon Hall is coming off an Achilles injury and Terence Newman will be 36 by next season. The Bengals were on to something last year at running back by teaming the explosive Giovani Bernard with chain-mover BenJarvus Green-Ellis. The "Law Firm" will be 29 in July, however, so Cincinnati snared his heir apparent in the second round, LSU 235-pounder Jeremy Hill. Third-round defensive end Will Clarke, meanwhile, had the length the Bengals are looking for and will help replace Michael Johnson, who fled to Tampa Bay in free agency. Best Value Pick: Offensive lineman Russell Bodine, a fourth-round choice out of North Carolina, can play all three interior positions and could eventually push Trevor Robinson at center. Questionable Calls: The Bengals have made the playoffs for three consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history, a run that began with the arrival of Andy Dalton at the quarterback position. The "Red Rifle" hasnt been able to get it done in the postseason, however, and until he does the pressure will continue to mount. Getting high-profile Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, who many had rated as a potential second- or third-round choice, in the fifth round may seem like a prudent move but it could also turn up some unnecessary heat on Dalton. Summary: Its rare you can get a talent like Dennard at a need position with the 24th pick so that will help immensely. Cincinnati followed that with a number of logical choices and the McCarron pick could even prove fruitful down the line FINAL GRADE: B+ Undrafted rookie free agent signings: WR Alex Neutz, Buffalo; DL/FB Nikita Whitlock, Wake Forest; FB Ryan Hewitt, Stanford; RB James Wilder Jr., Florida State; G Trey Hopkins, Texas; TE Colin Lockett, San Diego State; OL Kevin Palmer, Baylor; S Isaiah Lewis, Michigan State; OL Dan France, Michigan State; RB Jeff Scott, Ole Miss; OT Curtis Feigt, West Virginia University; DE James Davidson, UTEP Cleveland Browns 1 (8) - Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State; 1 (22) - Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M; 2 (35) - Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada; 3 (71) - Christian Kirksey, OLB, Iowa; 3 (94) - Terrance West, RB, Towson; 4 (127) Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood Top Picks Analysis: Trader Ray certainly made his money on draft weekend. First-year Browns general manager Ray Farmer moved up and down three different times in the opening round, eventually snaring Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, as well as a 2015 first-round pick from Buffalo. The good news is that Gilbert could be he best cornerback in the draft and should team with Joe Haden to give the Browns an impressive presence on the edges of their defense, while Manziel could be the answer at the games most important position and is certainly an exciting face for the franchise. The bad news is that by trading out of the No. 4 spot Farmer passed up on two of the four real blue-chip prospects in the is draft -- Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins and Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack -- and the team is also on the verge of losing superstar receiver Josh Gordon for the entire 2014 season due to a drug suspension. Offensive lineman Joel Bitonio of Nevada was the teams second-round pick and could solidify the right guard position or kick out to right tackle eventually. A pair of third-rounders -- inside linebacker Christian Kirksey of Iowa and running back Terrance West -- should also be contributors. Questionable Calls: Passing on Watkins when Cleveland.com reported that several members of the organization knew about Gordons impending suspension for at least a week borders on malpractice. The fact that Cleveland went through the entire draft -- perhaps the deepest WR draft in 20 years -- without taking a receiver is malpractice. "I would tell the fans that are in panic mode because we didnt draft a wide receiver is that patience really tells the tale," Farmer said. "There are plenty of opportunities for us to address what everyone would believe is a need but in our opinion, there is plenty of opportunity to add players, to change the roster and to really make a difference." Summary: Farmer deserves plenty of credit for pilfering the Bills for what could be a top-10 pick next year and if Manziel solidifies the QB position, this draft will be judged a success no matter what. That said, revisionist history cant mask the poor decision-making Farmer and the Browns exhibited in the wake of the Gordon news. Shazier is lightning fast and projects as an all-around linebacker but he will probably need to be protected a bit by a nose tackle who can occupy multiple blockers. Tuitt was regarded as a top-15 talent heading into his junior season with the Fighting Irish but he had an injury-plagued season and was out of shape for much of it. If Tuitt can get his body back on track, Pittsburgh may have something. Third-round running back Dri Archer is a scatback with return ability and a nice complement to big bodies like LeVeon Bell and LeGarrette Blount. Best Value Pick: Daniel McCullers, the teams sixth-round choice out of Tennessee, is a massive defensive tackle who has the raw strength to be a two- down beast as long as he improves on his technique and develops more dedication to the game. Questionable Calls: The 15th overall slot was probably a bit too high for a player like Shazier, who the Steelers project inside. Hell need plenty of help from players like McCullers to keep opposing guards off of him at the second level. Summary: Pittsburgh needed to get younger and more athletic on defense and the team took steps in that direction although the top two choices both come with significant risk. FINAL GRADE: B- Undrafted rookie free agent signings: C Chris Elkins, Youngstown State; TE Eric Waters, Missouri; DE Josh Mauro, Stanford; LB Howard Jones, Shepherd; OL Will Simmons, East Carolina; QB Brendon Kay, Cincinnati; DL Ethan Hemer, Wisconsin; QB Terrance Owens, Toledo; S Jake DeMedal, St. Francis; DB Devon Carrington, Stanford; OT Kaycee Ike, Alabama-Birmingham; DT Roy Philon, Louisville Tremaine Edmunds Jersey . Security experts say the Russians are right in taking the threat seriously. The video was posted online Sunday by a militant group in Dagestan, a predominantly Muslim republic in Russias volatile North Caucasus. The Olympic host city of Sochi lies only 500 kilometres (300 miles) west of Dagestan. Two Russian-speaking men featured in the video are identified as members of Ansar al-Sunna, the name of a Jihadist group operating in Iraq. It was unclear whether the men in the video had received funding or training from that group or only adopted its name. There was no confirmation the two men were the suicide bombers who struck the southern Russian city of Volgograd last month as the video claims. Scores of people were also injured by the bombings of a train station and a bus. Russias National Anti-Terrorism Committee said Monday it was studying the video and would have no immediate comment. The video couldnt be viewed in Russia, where Internet providers cut access to it under a law that bans the "dissemination of extremist materials." It was released by the Vilayat Dagestan, one of the units that make up the so-called Caucasus Emirate, an umbrella group for the rebels seeking to establish an independent Islamic state in the North Caucasus. Doku Umarov, a Chechen warlord who leads the Emirate, had ordered a halt to attacks on civilian targets in 2012. But he rescinded that order in July, urging his followers to strike the Sochi Olympics, which he denounced as "satanic dances on the bones of our ancestors." The games run from Feb. 7-23. The Kremlin-backed leader of Chechnya claimed last week that Umarov was dead, but the claim couldnt be verified. The Vilayat Dagestan statement said the Volgograd attacks were carried out in part because of Umarovs order, but it didnt specifically say he had ordered them. Dagestan has become the centre of an Islamic insurgency that has engulfed Russias North Caucasus after twoo separatist wars in Chechnya. Vladimir Ducasse Jersey. Militants seeking to create an independent state governed by Islamic Shariah law in the Caucasus launch daily attacks on police and other authorities there. One of the two ethnic Chechen brothers accused of staging the Boston Marathon bombings spent six months in Dagestan in 2012. Andrei Soldatov, an independent Moscow-based security analyst, said the video threat need to be taken seriously. "They have capabilities to strike beyond the North Caucasus, which they demonstrated in Volgograd," he said. "Its extremely difficult to stop a lone wolf suicide bombing attack." Georgy Mirsky, a respected Russian expert on the Middle East, said the video reflected the increasingly close ties between Jihadists in the Caucasus and elsewhere. Russias war against Caucasus militants has made it an enemy on par with the United States and Israel for militant Islamic groups in the Middle East, he wrote on his blog. Russia has responded to the Islamic threat by introducing some of the most sweeping security measures ever seen at an international sports event. Some 100,000 police, army and other security forces have been deployed, according to analysts, and tight restrictions have been placed on access to the Sochi area. Anyone attending the Winter Olympics has to buy a ticket online from the organizers and obtain a spectator pass that requires providing passport details. Authorities have already barred access to all cars registered outside of Sochi and Russian police have gone house-to-house methodically screening all city residents. Soldatov argued, however, that Russias massive security presence at the Olympics could also have an adverse effect. "When you put so many troops on the ground, you might get some problems with the co-ordination of all these people," he said. Soldatov noted that the ominous threat of a "present" for the visitors to the Games contained in the video is loosely phrased and could herald an attack outside tightly guarded Olympic facilities. "They never tried to specify the place where they might strike, thats why everybody should be concerned," he said. MAGDEBURG, Germany -- Arthur Abraham defeated Robert Stieglitz by split decision on Saturday in their third bout, winning back the WBO super middleweight title he lost to his fellow German in March last year. Dean Lowry Jersey . Judges Clark Sammartino of the United States and Paul Thomas of Britain scored it 114-111 and 115-110 for Abraham, respectively, while American Michael Pernick judged it 113-112 in favour of the defending champion. Stieglitz was the more proactive fighter, jabbing, pushing forward, with Abraham biding his time and launching counterattacks. These took their toll towards the end, with Stieglitz dropping to his knee in the final round. "I cant explain this decision," said Stieglitz, who dropped to 46-4 (26 KOs). "I led for the whole time. I see myself as the winner in any case. I lost the last round but not the whole fight." Abraham, who beat Stieglitz by unanimous decision in their first bout in 2012 and by TKO last year, improved to 39-4 (28 KOs). "That was a real battle," Abraham said. Les Elephants got their group-stage campaign off to a flying start with a 2-1 victory over Japan, but suffered a setback on Thursday with a 2-1 loss to group-leaders Colombia at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia. The Ivory Coast managed to keep Colombia off the score sheet in the first half, but they couldnt hold them off in the second half as goals from James Rodriguez and Juan Fernando Quintero scored to lift Los Cafeteros to the victory. Colombia struck for the opener in the 64th minute as a corner kick from Juan Guillermo Cuadrado was expertly nodded into the top left corner of the net by Rodriguez. Colombia doubled its advantage in the 70th minute following a giveaway from the Ivory Coast in the center of the park. Gutierrez advanced the ball and slid a well-weighted pass into the path of Quintero, who slotted a left-footed shot past the on-rushing Boubacar Barry. Ivory Coast pulled one back just three minutes later. It was Gervinho who did the honors, capping a weaving run from the left flank by pumping a right- footed shot past Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina at the near post. But it wasnt enough as Les Elephants could not find an equalizer. "We didnt deserve to lose, I feel a draw would have been fair," Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lambouchi said. "We made a few untimely errors and paid a heavy price. JK Scott Jersey. Im not going to get too carried away with what went on, there are only some small things to iron out ahead of the next game. Well now go back to our camp and get plenty of rest, because well need to beat Greece by a big margin. I cant see us qualifying any other way." Greece, meanwhile, is coming off a scoreless draw against Japan in Natal at the Estadio das Dunas on Thursday. A win for the Greeks would keep them alive for a spot in the round-of-16 with four points, but they could still go home if Japan beats Colombia earlier in the day. The run of play in Thursdays affair was even until the 38th minute when Greece had Kostas Katsouranis sent off for a second caution, which came by way of a sliding challenge on Makoto Hasebe. But the Greeks almost took the lead shortly after when Vasilis Torosidis took a failed clearance and hammered a shot on goal, but goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima was equal to the task, turning the attempt out of play to deny the Roma man. "We struggled to even get close to the Japanese box, particularly in the first half. Thats why I feel we played really well in the second 45 minutes," Greek head coach Fernando Santos said. "We thought Japan might change their style and play more long balls, rather than always playing short passes. We now need to win our next game because Cote dIvoire have three points and weve just one. We need to find a way to put the Ivorians under pressure. I hope that everything turns out like Euro 2004, when Greece also needed to win their last [group] game and ended up going through." TORONTO -- The Vancouver Whitecaps and Montreal Impact both picked up Canadian strikers as the MLS SuperDraft concluded Tuesday with the third and fourth rounds. Custom Indianapolis Colts Jerseys . The Whitecaps used the first pick of the fourth round -- 58th overall -- to take MacKenzie Pridham, a Toronto-born forward from Cal Poly. The Impact chose Edmonton forward Jordan Ongaro 67th overall from San Diego State. The 23-year-old Pridham is Cal Polys all-time leading scorer with 27 goals and the first to repeat as Big West Offensive Player of the Year since current Seattle Sounders midfielder Brad Evans did it as a UC Irvine standout. Pridham finished sixth among Division I players with 0.70 goals per match, eighth with 14 goals and 10th with 31 points. Those numbers might have been higher had the Mustangs made the NCAA tournament or had Pridham avoided a late-season ankle injury (he was second in NCAA goal-scoring when he went down). Pridham, who trained with Toronto FC last summer, ranks second all-time in Cal Poly points (58) and multi-goal games (five) and eighth in appearances (70). "One of the hardest-working players Ive seen," said Vancouver manager Carl Robinson. "His goal-scoring record (25 goals) over the last two years has been fantastic," he added. "I was pleasantly surprised I was able to pick him up today." The 22-year-old Ongaro led the Pac-12 in goals this season with 10, ranked second in points (21) and goals per match (0.53), and third in points per match (1.11). He was a first-team all-Pac 12 section. The Canadian under-17 and under-20 player is the nephew of Ross Ongaro, a former indoor player and coach of note whose soccer resume includes stints as Canadian beach and futsal coach. The Whitecaps also took a pair of midfielders from the New Mexico Lobos in 22-year-old Ghanaian Michael Kafari, in the third round, and 25-year-old Costa Rican Michael Calderon, in the fourth. Calderon excelled at the recent MLS Combine, ranking second in chances created, according to Opta Sports. The Vancouver draft picks from New Mexico have Whitecaps connections. Both were Lobos teammates with midfielder Ben McKendry, a product of the Whitecaps residency program. And Kafari played with Whitecaps midfielder-forward Kekuta Manneh at the Austin Aztex of USL PDL. Robinson said the intel from McKendry on the two Lobos was nothing but positive. "Theyre good players, thats the be-all and end-all of it," Robinson added. He sees the five-foot-eight Calderon as a No. 10, a creative player who can unlock defences. "As a club last year, thats what we missed," he said. Kafari, a more deep-lying midfielder, has a U.S. passport so would count as a domestic player. Calderon counts as an international but Robinson said the player is getting married, which may impact his status. Robinson said he had expected Calderon to go higher in the draft, theorizing that perhaps some were turned off by his age. "It definitely wasnt a turnoff for me because technically you can see he has a lot of attacking qualities in him." Vancouver added a 2014 international spot in a deal that sent a third-round pick, 45th overall, to the Columbus Crew. The Whitecaps have 11 international roster spots, 10 of which are currently being used, through the 2014 season. Robinson said getting the international spot gives the team the security of knowing it can accommodate one of its overseas targets. The Impact picked up forward Pete Caringi from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with their third-round pick. The 21-year-old won the Golden Boot in the PDL in 2013 with 16 goals in 12 games for the Baltimore Bohemians. He played four seasons with the UMBC Retrievers, scoring 37 goals and adding 17 assists in 79 games. "Blessed to be drafted by (at)impactmontreal," tweeted Caringi. Toronto FC, which did not have a third-round pick, selected Rutgers forward Kene Eze in the fourth round, 60th overall, on the New Jersey natives 22nd birthday. Eze led the Scarlet Knights with eight goals this season despite missing six games due to injury. He finished his collegiate career with 22 goals and eight assists. Subban will try to impress Steve Yzerman and Hockey Canada one more time tonight as the Habs host the Florida Panthers at the Bell Centre in the final game before Canada announces its Olympic roster on Tuesday. The game can be seen live on TSN Habs and heard on TSN Radio 690 starting at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The 24-year-old is not a lock to make Team Canada and there has been speculation whether hed still be useful if not in the top pairings. Subban won the Norris Trophy last year and has seven goals and 26 assists for 33 points in 43 games this season. The Panthers have already picked up a pair of victories this season over the Canadiens and have won six of the previous nine encounters overall. Florida has won four of its last six in Montreal. Floridas Scott Clemmensen was in net for both victories, while Montreal backup Peter Budaj started the two setbacks. Price may get the start tonight and is 5-4-1 lifetime versus the Panthers with a 1.88 GAA in 10 starts. Tim Thomas, who made 38 saves versus the Predators, may get the call again tonight for the Panthers and it would give him a chance to even his career record versus the Canadiens. Thomas has plenty of experience against Montreal due to his days with the Boston Bruins and is 14-15-4 against the club with a 2.82 goals against average and two shutouts in 35 meetings (33 starts). The Canadiens are 1-0-2 in their past three games and are coming off a 4-3 overtime setback to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Subban took a hooking penalty with 19 seconds left in regulation and Ottawa cashed in 58 ticks into the bonus period as Clarke MacArthur whipped a shot inside the near post. Brian Gionta had a goal and Carey Price ended with 30 saves in a loss that featured Danny Brieres best game with the Habs since joining the club this past offseason as a free agent. The 36-year-old had been a healthy scratch for Montreals previous two games, but an upper-body injury to forward Ryan White put Briere back in the lineup and he reesponded with two goals and an assist. Darius Leonard Jersey. "It was about time for me to help this team. When you have good feelings, something good usually happens," Briere said about his offensive output. Briere notched his first points in 11 games and has seven goals and six assists in 30 contests this season. Panthers rookie, Barkov, is quietly putting together a solid run of his own. The second overall pick of the 2013 draft will try to post the longest point streak by a rookie tonight against Montreal. The 18-year-old Finn has posted a goal and five assists over a five-game point streak that matches Radek Dvoraks club mark for a first-year Panther. Dvorak had six goals and seven points over his run from Nov. 2-9, 1995. Barkov has managed to post three goals and 11 points over his past 11 games, giving him seven goals and 21 points in 42 contests this season. He notched a pair of assists in Saturdays 5-4 shootout win over the Nashville Predators. The big story was the return of Jovanovski, with the 37-year-old suiting up for the first time since March 16 of last season. The former first overall pick of the 1994 draft by Florida had been out since having a hip resurfacing procedure back on March 28. Jovanovski was a plus-3 in Saturdays victory while logging just under 16 minutes of ice time. "It felt good just being with the guys and being able to celebrate a goal," said Jovanovski. "We made it closer than we wanted to but found a way to come out with two points." Nashville nearly spoiled the return by scoring twice in the final 5:08 of regulation, but Tomas Kopecky had the winner in the sixth round of the shootout. Kopecky also scored in regulation and Brad Boyes and Marcel Goc both had a goal and an assist as Florida went 2-2-1 on a five-game homestand. The Panthers play their next three on the road. Forward Scottie Upshall also returned to Floridas lineup after missing three games in a row with an upper-body injury, but defenseman Alex Petrovic left Saturdays win early with an undisclosed injury. ST. Terry Rozier Jersey . LOUIS -- After stumbling in his first start following three months on the disabled list, Joe Kelly tinkered with his mechanics. Kelly bounced back with seven strong innings and Matt Adams homered in a four-run first as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 Saturday to send All-Star Zack Greinke to losses in consecutive regular-season starts for the first time in nearly four years. Kelly (2-1) gave up four hits over seven innings, retiring his last 13 batters as the Cardinals won for the eighth time in 10 games. Kelly didnt get a decision on July 11 in his return from a strained left hamstring, when he gave up six runs over three innings during the Cardinals 7-6 win at Milwaukee. After winning for the first time since April 5, he wouldnt detail his changes. "I did a lot of stuff different, but Im not going to give it away," he said. "If you watch the video, you can probably tell." Kelly induced 12 groundouts and got out of trouble with double plays in each of the first two innings. "I was just trying to mix up pitches and hide stuff better," he said. St. Louis manager Mike Matheny was impressed with Kellys ability to keep the ball down. "I thought it was one of his better pitching performances," Matheny said. "There were times when I even thought his changeup was a breaking ball. It has so much depth to it. So his secondary pitches were on." The Dodgers Adrian Gonzalez thought Kelly had great pitch location. "He didnt throw any balls in the middle of the plate," he said. "He kept throwing his fastballs right on the corner. There werent any pitches to drive." Trevor Rosenthal, the Cardinals third reliever, got his 30th save in 34 chances when Andre Either grounded into a game-ending double play. Coming off a July 9 defeat at Detroit, Greinke (11-6) walked a season-high five and gave up four runs and six hits in 5 2-3 innings. He had not lost back-to-back starts in the regular season since Sept. 20 and 25, 2010, for Kansas City at Detroit and Cleveland, according to STATS. Greinke did lose his regular-season finale against Colorado last year and was beaten by Atlanta in his first post-season start. "Too many mistakes in one inning," Greinke said. "Ive been doing that too much lately, getting behind in a game too early. I need to find a way to be better right from the get-go." St. Louis improved to 21-10 at home against the Dodgers in the regular season since the start of the 2006. The Cardinals also beat Los Angeles in six games in last years NL championship series. Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday left the game in the fifth, four innings after he was shaken up while diving back into second base on a pickoff attempt. The Cardinals said team doctors determined Holliday did not sustain a concussion. Dodgers All-Star outfielder Yasiel Puig left in the eighth, five innings after he was hit on the left hand by a Kelly pitch. Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly said Puig got hit, "near the top or on the side a little bit." Both players were considered day to day. Matt Carpenter opened the Cardinals first with a walk, and Kolten Wong reached on a slow roller when second baseman Dee Gordon threw wide of first, a play ruled a hit and an error that put runners on second and third, Holliday followed with a two-run single and Adams hit his 12th homer on Greinkes 16th pitch of the game. Adams, who has 15 hits in his last 39 at-bats, drilled a line drive over the right-field wall. "The curveball just popped up in the zone," Adams said. "When it does that, you know its a good one to swing at." Greinke said Adams outsmarted him. "I was just trying to be aggressive and it was the wrong choice," he said. "Usually, hes kind of patient early." Los Angeles, which has lost five of eight, scored on Hanley Ramirezs RBI infield single in the third and Carl Crawfords sacrifice fly against Sam Freeman in the eighth. The Dodgers have only 12 runs in their last seven games. "It just tells us that weve got to get better," Mattingly said. I think the England players have really responded well to Jones - Steve Borthwick and Paul Gustard have come in and added their nous defensively and tactically in the set-piece too.Looking ahead to Australia and the World Cup in 2019, it is time to tinker and I think Jones has got some tough decisions to make. Good coaches are always looking to make winning sides better and Jones is a very good coach. Looking at all the positions, I think this is what Jones needs to be looking at ahead of their summer tour...Front row Joe Marler has nailed down the No 1 jersey I dont think Jones needs to do a great deal here. I think Joe Marler is the starting loosehead and Mako Vunipola comes off the bench. Dylan Hartleys captaincy was outstanding and I would stick with him as skipper. His arrows have been excellent and he is a great scrummager too. England also have Jamie George and Luke Cowan-Dickie pushing him hard for the No 2 jersey. Englands wins have been built on their forwards dominating and that starts in the front row.Second row George Kruis had a sensational Six Nations tournament We have some great talent in the lock position and I thought George Kruis was just superb this Six Nations campaign. Having watched Maro itoje play in the U20s I was not surprised at the impact he made, however I dont think his future is in the second row. England also have Courtney Lawes to call upon and of course Joe Launchbury will come back from injury too. I think Kruis and Launchbury would make one heck of a second row combination who could really dominate in the years to come.Back row Maro Itojes future is at No 6, says Dewi Billy Vunipola has made some incredible metres carrying the ball, however I think that England over-use him. That is why I would move Itoje to No 6; I think he would flourish and help Billy with the hod carrying. If Jones does not think Matt Kvesic or anyone else out there is good enough for England, then he is going to have to turn Jack Clifford into a No 7. I think that would make a pretty well-balanced back row with plenty of power and some real pace. It would be hard on Chris Robshaw and James Haskell but I am looking at what England will need for Australia and for the World Cup. I think Manu Tuilagi needs to go away and learn how to distribute and work on his kicking game - very much like what Maa Nonu did a few years back. Dewi Morris Scrum-half Danny Care scores for England against France No issue here. Boston Celtics Jerseys. How Danny Care ever fell out of favour with Stuart Lancaster is beyond me. Ben Youngs and Care will always be pushing each other for the starting berth and I have no issue with that.Fly-half Dewi hopes Jones sticks with George Ford at No 10 George Ford really needs to find some confidence. I think Jones will need Ford because of his vision and his ability to make a break. With Henry Slade coming back it will be interesting to see what Jones does with Owen Farrell - in my opinion Farrell is just not an international No 12. Does Ford retain the starting No 10 jersey or will Farrell take it over? If Jones just wants a kicking No 10 then he will go with Farrell, but I hope he sticks with Ford and gives him the kicking duties because that will add to his confidence.Centres Is Henry Slade the answer in the No 12 jersey? Slade is the future for England in this position. I know he played No 13 for Exeter on Saturday but he showed some lovely touches against Saints despite being a little rusty.Jonathan Joseph is an option at 13 for me, with Manu Tuilagi coming off the bench. I think Tuilagi needs to go away and learn how to distribute and work on his kicking game - very much like what Maa Nonu did a few years back. You cannot always get through the door by smashing it down, sometimes you need to unlock it with a clever chip or by offloading and if Tuilagi can add a bit more to his armoury then he would be very dangerous indeed.Aaron Mauger still reckons that Tuilagi can be even better than Nonu but he needs to work on his skill set. I would not start Tuilagi but rather use him as the ultimate impact player.Back three Could Anthony Watsons pace and distribution skills mean he is suited to full-back? I would love to see Anthony Watson given a go at full-back. Mike Brown has done nothing wrong but he needs to look up when he runs the ball back. I think Watson has a better distribution game than Brown. I like Jack Nowell on the wing but, on the other wing, how about giving someone like Marland Yarde or even Christian Wade a go? I think the fast tracks of Australia would be perfect for Wade to show off his exceptional speed.Do you agree with Dewi? And on Thursday, the Heat tried to get their focus back on themselves. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra almost never holds a practice the day after a road game, especially when the team plane lands around 3:30 a.m. as was the case in the wee hours of Thursday. But Spoelstra deviated from the norm on the day before Game 6 of this East title series, not for any one on-court issue but rather so the two-time defending NBA champions could relieve some frustration. "Clear heads ... and to connect," Spoelstra said. "We didnt want to leave it all to tomorrow. There were some things we wanted to go over, and for times sake, splitting it up was a little bit more efficient." The Heat still lead the series 3-2, and get the chance to close the Pacers out for the third straight year on Friday night. The game is in Miami, where the Heat have won their last 10 playoff contests. Predictably, the talk on the off day wasnt so much about Paul George scoring 37 points to lead his team to a season-saving win, or even how James was held to seven points on a night that he was rendered silent for long stretches because of foul trouble. Instead, the buzz was almost entirely about Stephenson, who has simultaneously become a Heat frustration and Internet sensation. Images of his already-infamous ear-blowing stunt were widely distributed on social media moments after it occurred in Game 5, and he didnt back down Thursday when asked about his desire to pester the Heat. "Just playing ball, man, having fun and enjoying the moment," Stephenson said. Spoelstra didnt react when Stephenson -- who said James was showing signs of "weakness" earlier in the series -- crashed the Heat huddle. Much like his players, Spoelstra didnt bite when asked about the excitable Pacer guards attempts to throw Miami off its game. "Very bbizarre game," Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. Cheap New York Giants Jerseys Online. "Weird game. But its over." Indiana coach Frank Vogel didnt seem to mind the huddle move, though suggested the ear-blowing decision was a bit much. "People are in my huddle all the time. Every player in the NBA does that. Thats nothing," Vogel said. "Blowing in his face probably crosses the line. Thats not really who we are. We want to be a competitive team, but we dont want to cross the line." Stephenson and Pacers centre Roy Hibbert flew to Miami with slightly lighter wallets; Stephenson was fined $10,000 by the NBA on Thursday for his second flop of the series, Hibbert $5,000 for another flopping violation. It marked the second time in as many games that a Pacer has drawn a fine, with George having gotten dinged for $25,000 after blasting the officiating following Indianas loss in Game 4. In Georges case, the money might have seemed well-spent. Indiana took 22 free throws in Game 5 to Miamis eight, a total that matched the fewest any team has shot in a playoff game since 2006. "We just didnt get to the free-throw line," James said. "We were aggressive ... we shot the ball extremely well. We just didnt get to the line." Almost everything went wrong for Miami in Game 5, and the Heat still nearly won. James shot just 2 for 10 in 24 minutes, and got his fifth foul with 8 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter, with the Heat leading by eight. Miami went scoreless on nine of its first 12 possessions after James checked out and the Pacers used that stretch to build a five-point lead, the margin eventually reaching seven when George connected on a 3-pointer at the third-quarter buzzer. Down by as many as 11 in the fourth, Miami had a chance to take the lead in the final seconds, but Chris Boshs 3-pointer bounced away. And with that, the Heat started the process of turning the page to Friday night, when they could punch their fourth straight ticket to the NBA Finals. "Its Game 6," Bosh said. "Its our Game 7." NEW YORK – A pall loomed over the tight quarters of the New York Rangers dressing room Tuesday afternoon, mere hours after their hopes of capturing Lord Stanleys mug dimmed to the very faintest light. Joe Montana Jersey . A third straight loss has them staring dead in the eye of elimination and try as they might, belief of some valiant comeback was difficult to summon on this day. The faces were long, sour and glum ahead of Game 4 at MSG on Wednesday night, to be expected in light of a gaping 3-0 series hole. "Im not going to lie to you, its a tough day today," said a particularly downcast Brad Richards, the 34-year-olds dreams of a second Cup fading dramatically after a 3-0 loss in Game 3. "I mean, the goal is to get through today and [Wednesday] will be a Stanley Cup playoff game-day and Im sure everybody will be in a lot better mood, a lot better outlook to try to get in and win a game." "Belief is everything," Martin St. Louis said, his beard speckled with grey in the final days of the postseason. "Right now, its a big mountain to climb but once you get into battle … first shift you get into battle, get into the game, win a game and now its 3-1 and you go from there. You cant look at trying to win four. Youre trying to win one." Despite the appearance of a one-sided series, the Rangers know full well that this Cup Final has been anything but; two overtime games that couldve gone either way followed by Jonathan Quicks brilliance in a Game 3 during which they controlled puck possession. But as Rangers coach Alain Vigneault put it – his mood predictably sour – none of that matters now. One game is all that counts. One more loss and hope of adding the first Cup in New York in 20 years dies a quiet death. "Whatever talk you might use, at the end of the day for us right now, its about one game," Vigneault said. "Thats as simple and logical and realistic as I can put it for you. We have to focus on one game and thats what were going to do." Though it matters little at this point, as stressed by Vigneault, the even nature of the series does offer the slightest bit of belief for the Rangers. Heavy underdogs coming into the series, theyve stood toe-to-toe with the Kings, felled by their opponents will under duress, unmatched depth and an unfortunate bounce or two. "Its not like weve been outplayed here – thats not been the case," said Henrik Lundqvist, appearing most at ease amongst a tense New York group. "Theyve been good, but I think weve been playing pretty good, as well. It comes down to a couple plays here and there. Thats been the difference in these games. But it starts with your belief and it starts with how you approach this game and the games after that. But they know its possible and we know its possible." Only four teams have ever rallied from a 3-0 series deficit, including L.A. in the opening round against San Jose. New York dug out from a 3-1 deficit itself in the second round against the Penguins, winning Game 7 on the road in Pittsburgh. This task, however, opposite maybe the most complete and mentally-tested team in the league, is almost beyond comprehension. Felled by Quicks 32 saves in Game 3, adjustments for the next one are simple for the head coach. "Score," said Vigneault, hopeful that the 28-year-old Kings goaltender wasnt locked in again on Wednesday night. A power play goal for a group thats managed one in 14 opportunities might be of help as well. "You keep repeating the process," added Richards, the Rangers centre held without a point through three games, "firing more on net, and youd expect eventually something is going to go in. For sure, you can always will words and battle and all that, you can talk about it, be better. The third period of Game 1, the ice was tilted, but overall the ice hasnt felt that tilted in this series. Theyre a calm, cool, collected team that doesnt get rattled and it just seems that theyre scoring at the right times and getting big saves at the right times." At their darkest point, the sky notably cloudy in midtown Manhattan, the Rangers were simply trying to summon some kind of light. "Its the waiting and thinking thats the tough part," Richards said. "Weve gotta get back in the battle and see where it goes." Terrell Owens Jersey . -- Two nights after losing to the Eastern Conferences worst team, the Phoenix Coyotes handled the best. Instead, Nonis and Kessel were sorting through the fallout of a wild melee with the Buffalo Sabres, one that saw Kessel suspended for the duration of the pre-season.Andrew Wiggins has become a household name, largely due to the unparalleled media attention he has received. Particularly leading into the Vaughan, Ontario natives freshman year at the University of Kansas, with the ESPN Magazine and Sports Illustrated covers, a GQ feature, and SportsCentre highlights that have created an immeasurable amount of excitement - so much so, that it makes it impossible to live up to the hype. Traditionally, the early part of most NCAA programs schedules are loaded with cupcake opponents, and teams or players arent truly tested until conference play in the new year. However on Tuesday night, the State Farm Championship Classic not only pit the #4 Duke Blue Devils against the #5 Kansas Jayhawks in not only a top level match up, but featured the #1 (Wiggins) and #2 (Jabari Parker) high school recruits in the country squaring off against one another. Wiggins would face a true test to see if he was every bit as good as the hype. There would no longer be any questions, judging the ease and ability of his game against his inferior opponents. Despite what the players said, the match-up of Wiggins vs. Parker didnt disappoint for in the closely contested basketball game that showcased much more talent then the two heralded freshmen, it was still Wiggins leading his Jayhawks down the stretch to a 94-83 victory. Notwithstanding foul trouble, which kept him on the bench for much of the first half, Wiggins finished the game with 22 points and eight rebounds. His step back jumper with 1:33 left and fast break dunk seconds later started a 10-2 Jayhawks run to close out the game. He shot 9-15 from the field with many of those high percentage baskets on the break. Wiggins had eight transition points, one more than the entire Blue Devils team. While Parker had a monstrous first half with 19 points, he fouled out, trying to stop Wiggins, ironically, with 27 points and nine rebounds. Earlier in the evening, #1 ranked Kentucky fell to #2 Michigan State and UKs super freshman Julius Randle added 27 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. "Big players make big plays," Wiggins said. "I think our whole team, whoever was on the court, every possession we made a big play. Thats why we came out on top." Despite the competition, Wiggins was the biggest player of the night and much like his personality, performed with a modest display of his abilities. Hee still teases with his untapped potential, but rose to the occasion to prove that in fact, the hype is real. Roger Craig Jersey. . FIVE CANADIANS TO WATCH, THIS NCAA SEASON Unquestionably, all eyes are on Wiggins but here are five other Canadians that will garner attention this season. Nik Stauskas, Small Forward, University of Michigan (Sophomore) Last season, the Mississauga, Ontario swingman was playing in the NCAA Championship game as a freshman. The deadly 3-point shooter returns, without teammates Naismith Player of the Year Trey Burke and shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr., who have both gone to the NBA and will be relied upon more heavily by the Wolverines. Stauskas added 16 pounds of muscle during the offseason and committed to improving his defense. Kevin Pangos, Point Guard, Gonzaga University (Junior) Pangos is the head of the snake for the Bulldogs, and will have more work cut out for him without NBA lottery pick Kelly Olynyk. The Holland Landing, Ontario native averaged 11.9 points a game and shot .417% from the 3-point line last season. Pangos looked to improve on both sides of the ball, leading Canadas Development Team this summer. Tyler Ennis, Point Guard, Syracuse University (Freshman) As a freshman, Ennis steps into the starting line-up as Michael Carter-Williams left for the NBA, and will take the reigns of the Orangemen offense. As the only true point guard on the roster the Brampton, Ontario playmaker is known as a facilitator, but he can put the ball in the net. Ennis led the Under 19 World FIBA Championships tournament in scoring this past summer, averaging 20.9 points per game. Dwight Powell, Power Forward, Stanford University (Senior) Last season, the Toronto, Ontario native was named Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year along with All Pac-12 First Team honours averaging a team-high 14.9 points a game and 8.4 rebounds. Powell spent the summer playing on the Canadian Mens Development Team touring China and competing in the World University Games shooting 61.9% from the field and averaging 12.1 points and 5.1 rebounds. Daniel Mullings, Shooting Guard, New Mexico State (Junior) Mullings is a versatile player and a solid perimeter defender that chipped in 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game last season. He will have an expanded role this year and was voted pre-season Western Athletic Conference player of the year. BUFFALO, N. Wholesale Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys .Y. -- Coming off a poor performance, St. Louis Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak gave up a goal 10 seconds into Tuesday nights game against the Buffalo Sabres. After that he was flawless, making 23 saves for the Blues in a 4-1 win. "I was hoping to get a few shots early in the game, but not the way it was," Halak said. "I started feeling more comfortable as the game went on, especially in the second I made some saves that got my confidence back and I started feeling better." Brenden Morrow scored twice and Vladimir Tarasenko and Magnus Paajarvi also scored, as the Blues continued their mastery of the Sabres (5-17-1). St. Louis has won 13 of 15 games against Buffalo since 1999. Tyler Ennis scored the Sabres goal, as Buffalo lost at home after consecutive home wins last week. Halak was pulled from Sundays loss in Washington after allowing three goals on six shots in just 16 minutes. St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock liked his goaltenders response. "Bottom line he played really well," Hitchcock said. "We needed him and he played good. Thats whats good for Jaro. He stepped back and he made some big saves today. Thats a good sign for us." At 14-3-3, the Blues are off to their best start through 20 games in franchise history. The Blues league-best power play stayed productive, scoring in their fourth straight game. Its a stretch thats seen the Blues go 6 of 17 with the man advantage. "We drew a couple penalties, got the first one on the power play to make it 2-1 and hung on from there," Morrow said. "They were able to put a lot of pressure, throw some pucks at our net and we gave up more shots than we usually do." St. Louis is 8-1 in its past nine trips to Buffalo. The Blues improved to 7-2 against Eastern Conference teams, outscoring opponents 31-17. Though the Blues outshot the Sabres 31-24, they got off to a slow start. After a dump of the puck into the Blues zone off the opening faceoff, Ville Leino stripped the puck from Jay Bouwmeester below the left faceoff circle and found Ennis, who beat Halak with a low shot to give the Sabres an early lead. Though Halak may have been jittery, St. Louis responded well to the quick setback. The Blues tied the game less than a minute later when Morrow pounced on a rebound and beat Ryan Miller at 1:09 of the first. "They got off to a great start, got a break early and we got one right back early that the changed the momentum back for us," Morrow said. Tarasenko scored a power-play goal with 36 seconds to play in the first period on a pass from T.J. Oshie, who collected his own blocked shot. Buffalo has been outscored 31-4 in the first period this season. The Sabres nearly equalized in the second period, but Halak used his right pad to deny Leino, who was facing an open net. "I gave up the rebound and just wanted to get there with my pad and lucky for me he didnt raise it over my pad and I was able to get there," Halak said. "It was a key save for me and we get another chance going the other way and we score. Couldve been 2-2, but instead its 3-1 and it was a huge goal for momentum." Morrows second of the game came when Cody McCormick lost the puck behind the Buffalo net. "That was a pretty sick snipe," said Stewart, who missed the morning skate with flu-like symptoms. "He was sitting there in the slot all alone and hes not going to miss from there. It was Morrows first multi-goal game since April 17, when he scored twice against Montreal. Stewart had two assists. The Sabres couldnt beat Halak again and interim head coach Ted Nolan saw a gulf between his team and the Blues. "You could tell the difference between some of the younger players we have and some of the more mature players they have," Nolan said. "So its just part of maturing." Defenceman Mike Weber returned to the Sabres lineup after missing 10 games with a hand injury suffered Oct. 25 against Florida. (SportsNetwork. Luol Deng Jersey .com) - The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings are ready to put all the talk and hype surrounding their meeting at Dodger Stadium behind them. The two Pacific Division rivals kick start the NHLs "Stadium Series" on Saturday night when they complete a home-and-home series outside at Dodger Stadium. The clubs will meet for the second outdoor game of this NHL schedule. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings began the extended slate of games outside on Jan. 1 at Michigan Stadium, with the Leafs notching a 3-2 shootout victory in the Winter Classic. The success of previous versions of that event, as well as the Heritage Classic in Canada, prompted the NHL to expand its schedule of games outside. Saturdays game is the first of four in the "Stadium Series" as the New York Rangers will play the New Jersey Devils on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium before returning to the famous grounds for a game against the New York Islanders on Wednesday. Later in the season, the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins will square off at Soldier Field in the Windy City on March 1 before the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators battle the following day in the Heritage Classic. That game will be played at BC Place, which features a retractable roof. Californias first ever outdoor NHL game is also the first played by the league in the U.S. west of the Mississippi River during the regular season. The Kings, though, have played outdoors before as they faced off against the Rangers in the parking lot of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Sept. 27, 1991 in a preseason game played despite an 85-degree temperature. Wayne Gretzky had a goal in that game for Los Angeles. While this contest will be of larger scale and of more importance, it has also required a ton of attention for both teams. Anaheims Ryan Getzlaf noted after a loss to Winnipeg on Wednesday that the outdoor game has caused a lot of distractions. Getzlafs words came after the Ducks lost their first game at home in regulation this season, but they bounced back on Thursday to beat the Kings 2-1 and improve to 21-1-2 as the hosting team this season. That ties the 2008-09 San Jose Sharks as the second-best home record through 24 games in NHL history, with both teams going 21-1-2 to trail only the Montreal Canadiens 1943-44 home start of 21-0-3. The King struck first on Thursday thanks to a first-period tally by Anze Kopitar, but Dustin Penner tied the contest on the power play with 6:09 to go in the second period before Patrick Maroon notched the winning goal with 2:07 to play in the frame. Frederik Andersen stopped 30 shots for the Ducks, who have won 20 of their last 23 games and lead the NHL with 81 points. That is nine more than the second-place Sharks and 17 up on the Kings, who lead Vancouver by just three points for the third and final automatic playoff bid in the division. "One game in January doesnt mean were a better team than them," said Ducks forward Ben Lovejoy. "They played a great game tonight. We were one goal better than them, barely. Were two very evenly matched teams, and we need to bring it on Saturday in order to be successful." The Ducks will play five in a row at home after this game and have lost their last five games as the visitor in this series. The two clubs have split two meetings this season, with the Kings notching a 3-2 shootout win in Anaheim on Dec. 3, and Los Angeles has won eight of the previous 12 encounters overall. Jonathan Quick made 19 saves for the Kings, who won the opener of a five-game road trip on Jan. 16 in St. Louis before dropping the final four games of the trek. "We came up short," Kopitar said. "Thats something we have to learn from. We cant just give up soft goals and easy goals." Quick is 13-6-2 with a 2.41 goals against average in 23 games during his career versus the Ducks, who are likely to go back to Jonas Hiller in net tonight. Hiller has allowed six goals total in back-to-back losses after winning 14 straight and is 8-8-3 with a 2.43 GAA lifetime versus the Kings. Anthony Brown Jersey . Steve Wishie, Toronto Thank you for submitting these very important questions following the competition committee meeting that took place on Monday in New York. The General Managers will be convening sometime in the very near future to discuss these issues. Since it would appear there was little or no input from a knowledgeable officiating mind in attendance, I wish to address the General Managers directly with the following comments specifically related to implementing an expanded video review. I had the pleasure of developing a professional working relationship with each of you; in some cases that relationship began during your playing career and prior to your move into the role of general manager. While it is safe to say that we didnt or wont always agree, please know that I have great respect for the knowledge and care for the game that each of you demonstrates. Having been on that goal-line far too many times to count during my 30-plus year NHL officiating career I know, better than most, the demands, expectations and difficulties that the current crop of referees are experiencing. Goalkeeper interference is the most difficult decision that any referee has to make. The referees, like no time ever before, require your most thoughtful assistance to equip them with the necessary tools to achieve success and uphold the integrity of the game. The time has now come to step outside of any traditional comfort zone and implement video review technology that is available to the rest of us that watch the game on a television monitor, but who are not charged with making a split second decision on these potentially game changing plays. Based on Mathieu Schneiders quote below it would appear that the expectation of "certainty" must be met in order for video review to be expanded beyond the current allowances contained within the rules. "I think the underlying fundamental here is that if youre going to go to video review in a given area, there is the expectation of certainty," said Mathieu Schneider, the NHLPAs special assistant to the executive director. "And its just not there. Its very difficult. The type of things that were talking about, a possible coachs challenge, are things that we might be able to be certain on. But theres still a ton of grey area." I would respectfully submit that language contained throughout the rule book provides the referee(s) with the authority and latitude to exercise his individual judgment in the enforcement of the rules. Phrases such as "In the judgment of the Referee; There is an enormous amount of judgment involved in the application of this rule by the Referees; The Referee, "at his discretion" may assess; The Referees are provided very wide latitude in the penalties with which they may impose under this rule; The discretion provided (to the Referees) should be exercised realistically…" The referees do not apply a mathematical equation to problem solving. Instead, with your direction provided to them as to the expected standard of enforcement, the referees exercise their individual judgment to try and make the "correct call" from a position and vantage point that they occupy on the ice in that moment. This does not always achieve "certainty" and the referees perception of the play can quickly be changed if he is provided with a different angle or more precisely through video review. The current process and follow-up protocol of a conference conducted by the four on-ice officials (when utilized) does not achieve any "certainty" that the correct call is ultimately made. Gentlemen, one of the challenges that await you at your next meeting is to achieve some consensus among your group as to what actually constitutes a violation of rule 69—goalkeeper interference? Based on another quote following the competition committee meeting you have your work cut out for you. Even the Game 2 situation brought what Schneider called a "split room" on whether it should have counted or not. "Theres a lot of instances where you have two reasonable people looking at the same video and have two different interpretations, and goalie interference is certainly one of those," Schneider said. "I think the education process is whats going to be most important for the officials, for the players, and I think Colin alluded to, we want to maybe err on the side of the goalie more often. Well, thats the direction we have to give to the officials. "The education process is going to be key. And to have certain telltale signs." Your room cannot be "split" on this crucial issue of players interfering with the goaltender. The players and officials are in need of more concrete direction. Empowering the referee to take a second look at a play with a quick video review, perhaps through a coachs challenge, will help improve these game altering decisions. I also agree that "the education process is going to be "key". The officiating brotherhood can never stop learning, evolving or improving. Give them the tools they need to develop better positioning philosophies so that they consistently know where to go when a player is coming at them or where to go to find the best site line to the goal. A well officiated game is also incumbent upon the utilization of a referees sound judgment. He cannot be stripped of that yet again by a non-official making the call for him from an off-site location. The referees want to get the call right! The couple of minutes it will take for the referee to review the suspected presence of goalkeeper interference, along with some good coaching, will lead to a new age of officiating. Ray Lewis Jersey .Y. -- Phil Jackson lost out on his preferred coach, but hes working hard on keeping his star player. http://www.officialbaltimoreravensfootball.com/authentic-patrick-onwuasor-jersey-womens . PETERSBURG, Fla.The Winnipeg Goldeyes first no-hitter in franchise history was a team effort Wednesday night. Five Goldeyes (13-7) relievers combined to throw a no-hitter in a 3-0 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries in the second game of a doubleheader at Sioux Falls Stadium before 3,268 spectators. "I am going to be smiling for the rest of the night, thats for sure," Goldeyes pitching coach Jamie Vermilyea said on the Jewel 101 post-game show. "They filled up the strike zone. They had a couple walks, but after that they got quick outs." Winnipeg also won the first game 7-1 to sweep the doubleheader and move back into a tie for first place in the North Division. Gabe Aguilar pitched 2 1/3 innings to start the game before handing the ball over to Kaohi Downing, who went 2 2/3 innings hitless innings. From there, Taylor Sewitt pitched a third of an inning, Brendan Lafferty got the last two outs of the sixth inning and first out of the seventh inning and Kyle Bellamy was on the bump for the final two outs of the game. Winnipeg scored a run in the first inning when Tyler Kuhn singled and eventually scored on a Luis Alen double. The Goldeyes added two more runs an inning later, as Casey Haerther and Kuhn had RBI singles. From there, Winnipegs unhittable pitching staff took over. "We just kept on giving the ball to the next guy and they just kept on getting the job done," Vermilyea said. One of the unsung heroes in the no-no wass catcher Luis Alen, who caught 14 innings between the two games. Alex Lewis Jersey. ."Thats tough to do as a catcher," Vermilyea said. "Thats a long day behind the plate. "From the first game, we had a good game play against (Sioux Falls) and he kept throwing down the right fingers."Downing picked up the win, while Bellamy earned the save. Sioux Falls starter Joe Bircher posted a quality start, but suffered the loss. In the first game, Goldeyes starting pitcher Chris Salamida pitched a complete game, allowing just one run in seven innings of work to get the win. It was the first complete game by a Goldeyes pitcher this season and kept the bullpen fresh for the second game. "Sal set (the no-hitter) up by going seven innings and pitching the entire game," said Vermilyea, who pitched a perfect game in Double-A during his playing career. "It allowed us to have our full bullpen." Winnipeg scored once in the first and fourth, twice in the fifth and broke the game open with three runs in the sixth, as Luis Alen singled in a pair of runs and Donnie Webb followed with an RBI single. Webb led Winnipeg at the plate with two hits and two RBI. Salamidas record improved to 2-2 with the win, while Kyle Vazquez took the loss. The Goldeyes will be out to sweep the four-game series tomorrow night. Southpaw Nick Hernandez (0-0, 7.90) will start for Winnipeg against former Goldeye Ben Moore (1-0, 3.62). COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the first four games of the season, just about everybody was playing well for Ohio State except LaQuinton Ross. Cheap Jacksonville Jaguars Jerseys . On Saturday, he was one of the few Buckeyes who had a good game -- and it made a world of difference. Ross scored four of his career-high 23 points in a 10-0 second-half run, leading No. 5 Ohio State past Central Connecticut State 74-56. "I knew I was going to come around eventually," Ross said after hitting 9 of 13 shots from the field and adding six rebounds and an assist. "Ive been playing basketball all my life. Everybody goes through situations, struggles, out there on the court. It was just something I had to get through. I knew I would get through it eventually." After shooting 22 per cent from the field at the start of the season, Ross is shooting 63 per cent over his last three games. On a day when the Buckeyes (8-0) were lethargic at both ends, his shooting kept them in the lead and eventually put the game out of reach. "Our mindset wasnt right," said Lenzelle Smith, who scored 12 of his 17 points in the second half. "It was just us. We werent ready to play when we came out of the tunnel." The Blue Devils (2-6) certainly were. Their 3-2 zone befuddled the Buckeyes. They got back quickly to snuff Ohio States transition game. And they took their time on offence, working for good shots while shooting 46 per cent for the game. "We came in here knowing Ohio State is as good as any team in the country," coach Howie Dickenman said. "We wanted to gain some respect; I thought we gained some respect." The Buckeyes had won the only previous meeting between the teams in the first round of the 2007 NCAA tournament. The top-ranked Buckeyes, behind Greg Odens 19 points and 10 rebounds, beat the Blue Devils 78-57. Ohio State would advance to the national championship game, losing to defending champion Florida. The Blue Devils scored six of the last eight points in the first half to cut a 14-point deficit to 38-29. "It was sarcasm and angry at the same time," Ross said of coach Thad Mattas halftime talk in the locker room. "He tried to keep cool because he feels like were a veteran team and some of the mistakes we were making we shouldnt have made. I know for a fact he was upset. I think the whole team knew it." Ahead 38-29 at the break, the Buckeyes had difficulty finishing off the pesky Blue Devils. The lead hovered around 10 points until Ohio State broke free from a 49-41 lead with a quick run. It started with a steal by Amedeo Della Valle that led to Smiths dunk. After a CCSU miss, Sam Thompson hit a baseline jumper and, following a Blue Devils turnover, Aaron Craft fought through the traffic in the lane for a spinning layup that made it 55-41 -- matching Ohio States biggest lead to that point. Soon after, the Buckeyes forced a shot-clock violation and Ross muscled inside for a bucket. He then stole the ball near midcourt and drove coast to coast for another layup and an 18-point lead. The Blue Devils never seriously threatened again. Faronte Drakeford led them with 12 points and Matt Mobley added 10. CCSU outrebounded the Buckeyes 29-28 and didnt back down in the paint at either end. Matta said he hoped his team gained from the game. "Honestly, I said this is one we have to learn from it, but by the same token you have to wash it down the drain in the shower," he said he told the team afterward. "We must be a better basketball team (in our next game) than we were today." A crowd of 13,640 was as reserved as the Buckeyes most of the game. Maybe it was the lack of students, a midlevel opponent, the frosty weather outside or Ohio States impending Big Ten football championship game on Saturday night, but there were long stretches when the crowd was relatively quiet. Smith was asked if he would be watching the Buckeyes second-ranked football team go for the conference title in Indianapolis against Michigan State. "Absolutely!" he said with a laugh. COLUMBUS, Ohio - It was a similar game — only with the Columbus Blue Jackets on the winning side — less than 48 hours later. John Paxson Jersey . Artem Anisimov scored a short-handed goal late in the second period and special teams provided four goals in the Blue Jackets 6-3 win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday. In a disappointing 5-2 loss at New Jersey on Thursday night, the Blue Jackets fell behind 3-0, giving up two early power-play tallies, and then allowed a short-handed goal in the final minute of the second period. Fast forward to Saturday, when their power play clicked and Anisimov scored with his team a man down. "When we go to the locker room ... huge momentum for us," Anisimov said of his goal with 10 seconds left in the period with the game tied at 3. "Every goal you score in the last minute is huge for the team." With the Panthers on the power play after Derek MacKenzie went off for a high stick, Anisimov created the goal with hard work. He skated from the left boards, behind the net and to the far wall to force a turnover by Jonathan Huberdeau. The Russian Olympian then skated with the puck to the crease past defenceman Tom Gilbert, got goalie Scott Clemmensen to go for a fake with the backhand and then scored on the forehand. "The Russian air was good for him," joked Nick Foligno, who added one of two empty-net goals. "Hes come back flying. When youre playing against elite players like that it gives you a ton of confidence." Columbus, which had lost its past three, couldnt afford another effort as they had against the Devils. Anisimovs goal charged up his teammates and the crowd. "I didnt realize it was such a great play until I saw the replays," coach Todd Richards said. "That got the energy back for us." David Savard, Cam Atkinson and R.J. Umberger added power-play goals — the Blue Jackets were 3 for 4 with the man advantage — while Jack Johnson had three assists. Savard also had an assist. Foligno, playing in his 450th NHL game, collected his 200th career point on his goal. Matt Calvert added another empty-netter. Sergei Bobrovsky wasnt tested much, making 17 saves, but had a couple of big stops with the outcome still in doubt. Shawn Mathias and Nick Bjugstad each had a goal and an assist and Sean Bergenheim also scored for the Panthers, who lost their fourth in a row and have dropped seven of eight. The Panthers, last in the NHL on both special teams, failed to kill five consecutive penalties over two games including the first three against the Blue Jackets. Coach Peter Horachek was seething. "Special teams stink!" he said. "Those guys arent taking their responsibility for the penalty killing. ... There were individuals who let everybody else down." Forward Brad Boyes was also disgusted. "Its a broken record," he said of the special teams lapses. "Its killing us." James Wisniewskis hard shot from the top of the right circle handcuffed Clemmensen, who finished with 31 saves, with Umberger there to jam in the rebound on the power play at the 7:42 mark for the first. After Scott Gomez went off for interference soon after, the Blue Jackets scored with just one second left in the power play when Savards wrister from the right point was redirected by Atkinson. Johnson, whose whiff on a power-play shot from the point resulted in a costly short-handed goal in Thursdays loss, assisted on both goals. The Panthers countered late in the period when Wisniewskis pass went right to Matthias who tucked a shot inside the near post on Bobrovsky. Bjugstad won a puck battle with 20-year-old defenceman Ryan Murray at the blue line and then coasted in with plenty of room to move, eventually deking Bobrovsky to the ice before lifting a backhand for his 14th to tie it. Savard then carried the puck from the right boards unimpeded to the slot where he flipped a backhand past Clemmensen but 40 seconds later Bergenheim converted a rebound. That set the stage for Anisimovs big play. Notes: D Fedor Tyutin, expected to be out two to three weeks with an ankle injury suffered while playing with the Russian Olympic team, missed his second game for the Blue Jackets. ... It was his first three-goal game with the Senators and the fourth of his career. Its been a long time, since 2011. MacArthur then chipped in a loose puck at the side of the net at 11:54 for a 4-2 advantage.Jhonas Enroth made 31 saves for the Sabres (14-20-3), who got goals from Mark Pysyk and Zemgus Girgensons. The Sabres only managed two shots on goal through the final 20 minutes and have now lost five of their past six games following a stretch where they won 10 of 13.Were playing hard and we have a lot injuries right now that we have to battle through and we played well until the third period when they took it to us, Sabres forward Tyler Ennis said.I dont know if we were tired but they deserved to win. We have to get more than two shots, especially when the games on the line. Shots have been an issue with us all year and we have to generate more. It wasnt a third period we wanted. The Sabres went 0-for-4 with the man advantage and only managed three shots on those opportunities. On a third-period power play they were never able to gain control of the puck and set up in the Senators end.We have to play our game and I dont think we did that in the third for sure, Girgensons said. The power play has to show up as well. He swatted at the puck and missed originally but had enough time to take another whack and lifted the puck over the fallen netminder. In the second period the Sabres managed to turn a one-goal deficit into a one-goal advantage before the period was half done. After taking the original shot on the play, Pysyk tied the game less than two minutes in when he circled the net a chipped a second rebound past Anderson. At 8:37 of the period Girgensons gave the Sabres their first lead as he redirected a Matt Moulson pass and then dug the puck out of Andersons pads before putting it into the back of the net.As time wore down in the period the Senators tied the game as Ryan redirected a behind-the-back pass from Mike Hoffman into the corner past Enroth. The second period was one of those things where momentum would swing back and forth. HONOLULU -- The next Pro Bowl will be played in Arizona at the site of the Super Bowl, skipping Hawaii for the first time since 2010. Eddie George Jersey . The game will return to Hawaii in 2016, the NFL announced Wednesday. The 2015 game will be the third time the Pro Bowl is held in the same city as the Super Bowl. The NFLs all-star game took place in Los Angeles after the first Super Bowl in 1967, then the two games werent in the same city again until South Florida in 2010. Since 1980, all but one Pro Bowl has been held at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, the college football home of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The Pro Bowl will remain a week before the Super Bowl, as it has the last five years. The new format introduced after last season, which scrapped the AFC vs. NFC matchup, will be retained. The new format splits the all-stars through a schoolyard-style draft, a setup loosely based on fantasy sports meant to play toward player egos and the changing ways fans are interacting with the game. The Pro Bowl after this coming season will take place Jan. 25, 2015, at University of Phoenix Stadium. A year later, the game will be held Jan. 31, 2016, at Aloha Stadium. Tourism officials in Hawaii said they were pleased that the game was coming back in 2016 and the deal has an option for the game to be played in Hawaii in 2017. "While we would like to have had the Pro Bowl in Hawaii in 2015, the return of the Pro Bowl in 2016 provides the state with an opportunity to showcase our islands unique culture and beauty," Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie said in a statement. The Hawaii Tourism Authority, the main agency that markets the state to tourists, said the 2014 Pro Bowl generated nearly $72 million in direct visitor spending, including spending by people who travelled with Pro Bowl attendees. The agency said Hawaii will pay $5 million to support hosting the Pro Bowl in 2016 and repurpose funds set aside for the 2015 game toward other initiatives, including drawing more conventions and tourists from Asia. Lions have put some concerns about their quarterbacking situation to rest, at least for a little while, as the CFL playoffs loom. And their running game is looking pretty good, too. Nominal No. 1 signal-caller Travis Lulay scored a touchdown and completed three-of-four passes in limited duty upon his return from a shoulder injury as the Lions beat the Calgary Stampeders 26-7 in the final game of the regular season for both teams Friday night. "It was just exciting to be back on the field with the guys, just to get in and call some plays," said Lulay, who missed six games. Quarterbacking has been a concern because of Lulays health, Buck Pierces history of injuries and second-year pro Thomas DeMarcos inexperience. But all three impressed at times as the Lions sent a message that they will not go down lightly if the clubs meet in the West Final for the second year in a row. Meanwhile, Andrew Harris rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown as the Lions posted their second straight win heading into a semifinal game in Saskatchewan. "We just have ultimate confidence right now, and its perfect timing, because we have a (potentially) long stretch here on the road in the playoffs," said Harris. "Where we are right now, these two wins were absolutely crucial for us. I just think if we keep building off this well be all right in the playoffs." The Lions (11-7) had already secured third place, while the Stampeders (14-4) were already assured of first place and an opening-round playoff bye in the West Division. The clubs approached the game like an exhibition contest, with each deploying three quarterbacks and resting several other players. Harris excelled as he cracked the 100-yard barrier for the first time since July 30 against Toronto and was held under 20 yards on three occasions. "Oh, man, if Id have known that, I would have been yelling at (the coaches) to be running the ball," said Harris. "But its just one of those things. Its been a disappointing season and to not get 1,000 is a disappointing thing as well. But at the end of the day, were in the playoffs a and thats the biggest thing for me." Paul McCallum provided the rest of B.C.s points in the form of four field goals from 46, 44, 17 and 23 yards and two converts to account for the rest of B.C.s scoring. Calgarys Rene Paredes booted field goals of 46 and 21 yards while the Stampeders other point came on a punt single. "We didnt play good enough to win," said Calgary linebacker Juwan Simpson. "We take all the blame. We allowed them to score. We know we have to play better. We had a few injuries, but thats no excuse. We should have played better as a team." The Stampeders suffered a blow when they lost running back Jon Cornish, who entered the game as the CFLs rushing leader, with an apparent shoulder injury. Cornish recorded only four carries for 14 yards before leaving the game. The Lions got off to a rough start as Pierce threw a pass way beyond intended receiver Courtney Taylor and was intercepted by Deronn Mayo. Curley Culp Jersey. . But on B.C.s next drive, he moved his club to the Calgary one-yard line and DeMarco came in and handed off to Harris for a touchdown off a third-and-one gamble. The Stampeders picked up a point on Mavers 60-yard punt single on the final play of the first quarter to close the gap to 7-4. But McCallums 47-yard field goal at 6:23 of the second quarter put the Lions ahead 10-4, setting the stage for Lulays short, but victory-clinching effort entry a little while later. Harris chalked up 51 yards on four plays that included three runs and just one seven-yard pass reception. But Lulay then connected with Nick Moore on a 36-yard pass that put the ball at the B.C. one-yard line. The QB then ran for a one-yard touchdown to culminate an 11-play, 87 yard scoring drive that with McCallums convert gave the Lions a 17-4 lead that stood up until halftime and effectively erased any further doubt about the outcome. "We were able to execute that one drive really well," said Lulay, who passed for a total of 54 yards. "We were second-and-long but the run game kept the drive alive. It was just a well executive drive and we finished it off, so it was good to be in and be a part of that." Pierce completed four-of-nine passes for 41 yards while Lulay was good on three of four, accumulating 54 yards, before they were both pulled. "It was good to get the start in," said Pierce, who made his first start since July while he was still with Winnipeg. "I threw an early turnover, but we wanted to take some shots early." DeMarco completed 9-of-12 passes for 96 yards, including a 45-yard strike to Emmanuel Arceneaux in the fourth quarter. The second-year Lions QB, who had struggled in recent weeks, generated three field goals and was unlucky not to get his team in the end zone after Harris was tackled for a loss that forced the Lions to settle for a 17-yard field goal. "I think its a good (quarterbacking) situation right now, and I think the whole offence and the whole team is confident in our play over the last two weeks," said Pierce, who led the Lions to a win over Saskatchewan seven days earlier. Glenn finished with five completions on eight pass attempts before getting the rest of the night off. Drew Tate and Bo Levi Mitchell also saw action at quarterback for Calgary but generated little as the Stamps generated only 165 yards in net offence to B.C.s 365. Winnipeg Jets 4 San Jose Sharks 3 (Jets 33-32-9, 16-17-3 road) – The win was the second for the Jets against San Jose this season, and evened the Jets record to 1-1 on the five game road trip. Fernando Valenzuela Jersey . The game started a stretch of four games in six nights for the Jets. The Jets did not gain any ground on Phoenix, as the Coyotes beat New Jersey in a shootout to pick up five-of-six points on their three game road trip. It was the Jets 42nd one-goal game of the year; they have won 19 of them. Jets were again minus Ondrej Pavelec and Zach Bogosian due to injury, while Devin Setoguchi was not in the lineup – coachs decision. Pavelec practiced with the team Wednesday, Bogosian did not.? Mark Stuart was shaken up late in the San Jose game and only returned for one shift. Jets are in LA Saturday. (TSN 1290) Dan Boyle opened the scoring 1:57 in, only to have Andrew Ladd tie the game 36 seconds later with his 22nd of the year. Micheal Frolik and Bryan Little drew assists, Little extending his point streak to four. For Ladd it was his fifth goal in the last seven games and eighth in the last 12 games. Brent Burns on a power play at 14:27 sent the Sharks to the dressing room with a 2-1 lead. Shots were 11-10 San Jose. Blake Wheeler with his 25th of the year at 1:55 of the second tied the game. The goal was unassisted.? Wheeler then set up Dustin Byfuglien for his 20th of the year to give the Jets their first lead. It was Byfugliens eighth power play goal of the year. He has now tied his career high for goals, points and power play goals. Byfuglien has 24 points on the Jets 37 power play goals. It was his seventh goal in the last nine games. Frolik picked up his second point of the game with an assist on the goal. Shots in the second were 10-9 San Jose with the Jets up 3-2. For the second straight game the Jets surrendered two power play goals against, as Logan Couture pulled the Sharks even at 11:23. The Sharks then got themselves in penalty trouble as while killing a penalty, Couture put a clearing attempt over the glass and for 10 seconds the Jets had a 5-on-3. The Sharks killed that off but with a one-man advantage Wheeler set up Toby Enstrom for the game winner at 16:24. Little also drew an assist, giving him 10 points in the last 10 games, and 25 points in his last 28 games. The three point night gives Wheeler 11 points in the last seven games and 31 points in the last 30 games. He has 62 points on the season, two shy of his career high. It was his third three point game of the season. Enstroms goal was his ninth of the year, one shy of his career high. Enstrom is now 2-7-9 in his last 7 games. It was his third power play goal of the year and only the Jets 12th power play road goal of the year with three so far on this road trip. Shots in the third were 12-9 Jets and 31-30 Jets on the game, as Al Montoya in his sixth straight start, picked up his 13th win of the season. Jacob Trouba again led the team in ice time, as he played 24:53. Andrew Ladd had seven shots on goal, one shy of his single-game career high. Trouba had six shots on goal. Jim Slater was 75% in the face off department, winning six-of-eight. Paul Maurice was very impressed with his top players, especially Wheeler. “He just keeps getting stronger and more powerful. He does so much for our team.” On Ladds goal that tied the game early in the first: “it was big, settled our bench down.” On the win: “Its the first time weve talked about the playoff race. Its a huge hill to climb, but we cant look at that as the reason we played hard. We have to play hard for faith and confidence in the room.” Corey Seager Jersey . After just two league games in June, Toronto (6-4-1) will go on to play seven in July plus a friendly against Tottenham. Five of those contests are against Eastern Conference opposition, meaning valuable points in the playoff race are on the line. Los Angeles Dodgers Jerseys . The Sounders sit six points clear of second-place Real Salt Lake at the top of the West, and Sigi Schmids side will be attempting to collect a fifth win in six league games when his men come up against the Galaxy. You can watch the game live tonight on TSN2 starting at 10pm et/7pm pt. Seattle returns to league action for the first time in two weeks after notching a 2-0 win over Cascadia Cup rivals Portland. Clint Dempsey scored in the 76th minute against the Timbers to hand his team the lead, and Marco Pappa added a second goal to secure all three points for the Sounders. Pappas goal was his second this season and the second goal he has scored in the past five games. With DeAndre Yedlin away on international duty with the United States, Pappas defensive responsibilities on the left side increased, and Schmid believes that the 26-year-old has shown signs that his game is continuing to develop. "I see his game continuing to grow and develop," Schmid said of Pappa. "Theres some good, good defensive moments hes given us on the flank, and that was nnever considered a trait of Marcos. Custom Los Angeles Dodgers Jerseys. Hes on the field because he helps our attack, not because we want him to be a great left side defender, but hes got to do some of that work and has really grown as a player. He has found a mix and he knows how to find those pockets of space, which are really important." The Galaxy saw their eight-match unbeaten run ended last weekend at Sporting Kansas City in a 2-1 defeat, and the club will be eager to get back in the win column in an effort to climb toward the top of the conference. Los Angeles went behind in the 10th minute to a Benny Feilhaber free kick before Lawrence Olum scored just after the hour mark to double the advantage. Robbie Keane found the net for the Galaxy 11 minutes from time to notch his 10th goal of the season and his third in the last two games, but his team was unable to equalize. "The more I get on the ball, the more I can make things happen," Keane said. "Ive done that my whole career and the way we play certainly suits my style of play. But at the end of the day, weve lost the game. We gave up a good goal, then scored a good goal to get back (into the game). We showed good spirit in the second half and gave a good battle." As Cristiano Ronaldo prepares to face Sporting in the Champions League, we recall the 2003 friendly against Manchester United in the same stadium. Custom Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys . The game that made him… On November 22, Cristiano Ronaldo will return to the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon with Real Madrid. He does so as a three-time Champions League winner, a three-time Ballon dOr winner, and the man who captained his country to glory at Euro 2016.Its been quite the journey. But in a sense, when he sets foot on that turf, the home of his old club Sporting, hes going back to the start. It was Ronaldos extraordinary performance in a friendly to commemorate the inauguration of the stadium that set him on this path. Manchester United were the visitors, fresh from a successful pre-season tour of the United States in which theyd won all of their games - including convincing victories over Celtic, Juventus and Barcelona. And yet, they werent prepared for what awaited them in Lisbon.Ronaldo was ready. Although his Portugal debut was still a fortnight away, his reputation was growing fast. Hed been a visitor to Arsenals London Colney training ground for three days the previous November, having scored twice on his Sporting debut a month earlier. But it was United who really got to see what Ronaldo could do close-up and with a crowd to entertain. Inspired by the chance to impress, the 55,000 in the Alvalade saw the 18-year-old run through his now famous repertoire of stepovers. His quality was immediately apparent. Ronaldo tells the story of the time he dazzled Manchester United Gary Neville was watching at home and recalls being wide-eyed at what he was witnessing. I thought bloody hell, he said. Neville paid particular attention to Ronaldos movement given that he was playing on the left - tormenting the England mans deputy at right-back. Sir Alex Ferguson signed Ronaldo soon after seeing his performance Neville had the easy job. John OShea was the man tasked with marking the teenager. It proved an ordeal as the Irishman was left befuddled by the wingers tricks and helpless to deal with his sheer speed. It could have been anyone but there wasnt much sympathy. Ronaldo agrees new deal Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a contract extension to remain with Real Madrid until 2021. Ryan Giggs, watching safely from the sidelines, saw the funny side. You see Ronaldo get the ball, and you see him turn John OShea inside out, and youre having a little giggle to yourself, he admitted. OShea returned to the dressing room at half time exhausted.Describing the scene, Rio Ferdinand claimed that OShea was sitting there like he needed some oxygen while captain Roy Keane went further. Sheasy ended up seeing the doctor at half time because he was actually having dizzy spells, he recalled in his autobiography.OShea insists thats a little over the top. Its fair to say theres exaggerations in peoples autobiographies from time to time, he told talkSPORT. While he did give me a roasting, there wasnt too many dizzy spells. There was a bit of jetlag, but there was no dizzy spells. Ronaldos display at the Estadio Jose Alvalade wowed his future team-mates Even so, Sir Alex Ferguson put OShea out of his misery early in the second half after seeing Ronaldo cut through the United defence one time too many. With help from Mikael Silvestre, Fabien Barthez kept that one out, just as hed parried a first-half effort clear.Indeed, perhaps the only surprise was that Ronaldo failed to get on the scoresheet. It was Luis Filipe who gave Sporting the lead before star forward Joao Pinto added two more goals. But there was no question who the United players were talking about afterwards. Watch NOW TV Watch Sky Sports for just £6.99. No contract. He just lit up the game, said Giggs. All the lads were talking to him after the game and I remember we were waiting on the coach and everybody was wondering what we were waiting for. And then we just got a little whisper that the deal was being done. When the signing was announced, Ferguson stressed it was no rush move even if other clubs had forced United to act earlier than planned. Weve been negotiating for Cristiano for quite some time, he explained. Sporting honoured our agreement of months ago.Still, the reaction of his players had been noted. The lads in the dressing room talked about him constantly, said Ferguson, and on the plane back they urged me to sign him - thats how highly they rated him. He is one of the most exciting young players Ive ever seen. Ballon dOr explainer With FIFA launching their own award, we explain the latest on the Ballon dOr. According to Keane, the players would later joke that Sheasy actually sealed the deal by playing like a clown - not that he didnt have a good comeback. Look, everyone should be happy he came to United a year earlier because of it, said OShea.Ronaldo has made many trips back to the Alvalade since, most notably scoring in a Euro 2004 semi-final win over Netherlands and getting the only goal of the game on his Champions League return to the stadium as a Manchester United player in 2007.But when he lines up with Real Madrid later this month, perhaps its his first game in the stadium - the first game in the stadium - that will loom largest in his thoughts. The game in which he won over his team-mates-to-be and gave a hint of the brilliance that was to follow.Watch #CR7Live on Wednesday at 1pm on SkySports.com, Sky Sports Facebook page and on the Soccer AM You Tube Channel. The Bulls have won four straight and seven of their last eight. Chicago has also taken four consecutive home contests, and its recent run has been extremely impressive considering the competition. The Bulls started this win streak with a home victory over the New York Knicks, then knocked off the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum. Chicago defeated the Toronto Raptors, and, on Tuesday, toppled the Wizards in Washington, 99-91. Derrick Rose scored 25 points in the Bulls win over the Wiz. Rose shot a combined 12-for-35 in the two games before missing two with an illness. Since his return, the former MVP has been lights out in a pair of crucial wins over two Eastern Conference contenders. Rose scored 29 points on 12-of-19 shooting against Toronto on Monday and hit 10-for-17 in Washington on Tuesday. His personal 6-0 run late in the game helped the Bulls extend the best road record in the East to 13-4. Rose won the battle of elite point guards as John Wall finished with 18 points and nine assists. Theyre both dynamic players, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said about Rose and Wall. Hard to guard, transition, pick and rolls. Both are unselfish and make the right play. Pau Gasol had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Bulls. Aaron Brooks managed 13 points off the bench, followed by 12 out of Taaj Gibson. Ronde Barber Jersey. Jimmy Butler, who had been on a tear, cooled a bit with 11 points and Joakim Noah grabbed 11 rebounds. Gasol will face his former team for the first time since signing with the Bulls in the offseason. The Lakers snapped a three-game losing streak in an unlikely fashion. LA beat the Golden State Warriors, the team with the NBAs best record, on Tuesday night and did so without the services of Kobe Bryant, who was sitting for rest. Bryant, of course, has been used heavily in his 19th NBA season, and given his usage rate and his recent struggles, head coach Byron Scott opted to give the veteran a maintenance day. Bryants status for Christmas night is unknown. The Lakers built a huge lead by shooting 56.5 percent over the first three quarters and held on for a surprising win. Thats exactly what we needed with that type of effort and energy, Scott said. We just went out and played...and had confidence that we could make plays. Carlos Boozer led seven Los Angeles players in double figures with 18 points and added nine rebounds. Ronnie Price contributed 17 points and eight assists, Nick Young added 15 points, and Wesley Johnson and Ed Davis chipped in with 14 apiece. Wayne Ellington finished with 12 points and Jeremy Lin added 11. The Bulls have won two straight over the Lakers and five of their last six. The teams have split the last eight meetings in Chicago, although the Bulls have won two in a row. Pirates closer Mark Melancon pitched the ninth for his 12th save in 15 chances. Melancon gave up back-to-back singles to Anthony Rizzo and Starlin Castro. The San Francisco Giants provided a reminder that much work remains to be done before a contender becomes a champion.Geared up for another run at Buctober, Pittsburghs post-season journey lasted all of 3 hours, 12 minutes, just long enough for Madison Bumgarner and the Giants to overpower the Pirates for an 8-0 victory in the NL wild-card game Wednesday night.Bumgarner tossed a four-hitter while striking out 10, and Brandon Crawford hit the first grand slam by a shortstop in post-season history as the Giants put an abrupt end to Pittsburghs second straight post-season appearance. We got outplayed tonight, second baseman Neil Walker said. Bumgarner went out there, he did what he wanted to do. He put up the strike zone and he made it tough on us. When they got up early on us we were trying to scratch and claw our way back, and he was good from the first pitch until the last pitch. The ones in between, too.Pittsburgh was unable to duplicate last years victory over Cincinnati in the wild-card game that followed a 21-year playoff drought. Playing before raucous crowds at PNC Park, the Pirates pushed St. Louis to a decisive Game 5 before losing their NLDS.This year, Pittsburgh went 17-9 in September while taking the Cardinals to the final day of the season in an attempt to win the NL Central. The chase included a decision to start budding ace Gerrit Cole in the regular-season finale in the hopes of catching the Cardinals and avoiding the wild-card game. Cole struck out 12 in a brilliant performance but the Pirates lost, putting Pittsburghs hopes for extending its season on Edinson Volquezs excitable shoulders. The former All-Star a€” in the midst of a mid-career renaissance after winning a team-high 13 games a€” navigated three innings in the biggest start of his career before it all unraveled in the fourth, when a pair of singles and a walk loaded the bases with no outs.Crawford followed with a drive that kept carrying all the way to the seats above the 21-foot high Roberto Clemente wall to quiet the largest crowd in the 13-year history of PNC Park.I tried to bounce it down, back foot, and the ball just kept going, Volquez said. Bad spot.Bumgarner did the rest as San Francisco won its eighth consecutive post-season game and seventh in a row when facing elimination.Overpowering one of the NLs best lineups, Bumgarner walked one and threw 79 of 109 pitches for strikes in his latest stellar October performance. The big left-hander, who allowed only four singles, has thrown 15 scoreless innings in two World Series starts.Brandon Belt drove in three runs as San Francisco addeed on. Stitched Green Bay Packers Jerseys. That was more than enough for Bumgarner, who mixed his fastball with a slider the Pirates couldnt seem to figure out.Pittsburgh, fourth in the majors in extra-base hits this season, rarely hit the ball hard.A professional, well-pitched game by him, Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. We tried to counter-punch, we just couldnt muster up anything.Bumgarner was helped by his defence, too. Third baseman Pablo Sandoval a€” all 245 pounds of him a€” flipped over the railing in front of the Pittsburgh dugout to track down a foul popup off the bat of Russell Martin.Sandoval landed on his feet, a perfect symbol of San Franciscos seemingly endless resiliency this time of year. Back in the playoffs after winning the World Series in 2010 and 2012, the Giants are looking to continue their every-other-year success. We thrive in these situations, Crawford said. I dont know what it is. We just keep fighting no matter what the circumstance. Its a path the Pirates insist theyre on after winning 94 games last season and backing it up by going 88-74 this year despite a series of obstacles, including extended stays on the disabled list for Cole and Francisco Liriano, and an offence that didnt start to click until utility man Josh Harrison found a spot in the everyday lineup in mid-May.Not to take away from this year, we know it was a good season, Harrison said. But these losses right here hurt. Its not anything anybody would ever get used to. At the end of the day we still know that we are fortunate enough to be in this situation. There were a lot of teams that were eliminated on Sunday. And we had a chance to win tonight and play more.Instead the Pirates could only watch as San Francisco piled on against Pittsburghs normally reliable bullpen. A sizable portion of the crowd a€” most of the fans dressed in black a€” remained until the bitter end. There was a standing ovation after the final out even as the Giants poured onto the field in celebration. An important off-season lies ahead as Pittsburgh tries to re-sign catcher Russell Martin and figures out how to address potential holes in the rotation with Volquez and Liriano becoming free agents.Owner Bob Nutting says the normally frugal Pirates will do what they can to keep Martin and build around a nucleus that includes Harrison, Cole and Andrew McCutchen. If last falls success was a breakthrough following 20 years of misery, this falls failure revealed the gap between the Pirates and a championship team is narrowing, but not quite closed. Its not like were 90-plus wins saying weve got work to do, McCutchen said. We were in the wild card again and there are things we need to improve. Not only did Houston do that, but it handed the Eastern Conference-leading Pacers their biggest defeat in the process. Harden had 28 points and the Rockets used a huge third quarter to turn a close game into a blowout in a 112-86 win over the Pacers. Harden scored 16 in Houstons 38-point third quarter, which turned a three-point lead into a 29-point advantage. He also got into a dustup with Evan Turner that resulted in both players receiving technical fouls. Dwight Howard and Harden went to the bench for the fourth period and watched their teammates wrap up Houstons fourth consecutive win. Indiana won by 33 the first time the teams met on Dec. 20 in Indianapolis. "Thats all we talked about," Howard said. "Every timeout and every possession. We wanted to get payback. It was good for us to come out (Friday) and stay on them for four quarters." David West had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Pacers, losers of three straight for the first time this season. "Were just putting the emphasis on trying to get better," Indiana centre Roy Hibbert said. "Since the All-Star break we havent been playing the best basketball. Weve been playing awful." But Pacers coach Frank Vogel isnt too concerned about his team despite the skid. "Every team Ive ever been a part of has had a stretch like were in right now," he said. "And since Ive been here weve always worked our way out of it, so Im sure we will. It stinks right now. Its not fun right now, but weve got a good team and well regroup." Howard finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin added 11 points apiece for the Rockets. The Pacers shot 6 of 18 in the third quarter with four turnovers and managed just 16 points -- matching Hardens total. Paul George, who finished with 13 points, scored two quick buckets to start the second half and get the Pacers to 50-47. The Rockets scored the next nine points as part of a 16-2 run that pushed the lead to 66-49. Howard sailed high above the rim to grab a pass from Parsons, who threw itt over a leaping Hibbert, and finished with a two-handed dunk. Cleveland Browns Jerseys China. Terrence Jones starting things off with a 3-pointer before Howard and Harden combined for the rest of the scoring in that run. After that, Hibbert made the second of two free throws after he was fouled by Howard. Hibbert crashed to the ground after minimal contact from Howard, and the play initially was ruled a flagrant foul before it was overturned on review. Houston scored seven straight points after that, thanks to a pair of turnovers by the Pacers. Parsons made two free throws before Harden grabbed a steal from West and sank a 3-pointer. A turnover by Lance Stephenson seconds later led to a dunk by Harden that made it 73-50. Thats when things got heated. Turner was fouled by Parsons after he stole the ball from Patrick Beverley. Turner pushed Harden with one hand at the end of the play. Harden immediately got in his face, so close it appeared they might be touching, and the pair exchanged words. They were quickly pulled apart while players from both teams yelled at each other. Harden said he got in Turners face because he went too far. "I wasnt going to let it slide," he said. "I wasnt having it." The fracas didnt do anything to slow down Harden, and he scored five points in the 10-3 run by Houston that followed, extending the lead to 83-53. Harden said it was important that the Rockets maintained their composure after the scuffle. "We knew that the game was going to be officiated tight after that and we did a good job of getting stops and getting out and getting layups and 3s," he said. The Rockets led 88-59 entering the fourth. Houston was up by 16 midway through the second quarter. The Pacers got going after that, outscoring the Rockets 19-10 the rest of the first half to cut the deficit to 50-43 at halftime. West had eight points during that stretch and George had a nifty reverse layup and a 3-pointer to help Indiana.
