The Detroit Lions are in the middle of a stretch of 12 days in which they’ll play three regular season games. As a result Womens Danny Amendola Jersey , head coach Matt Patricia elected to make Wednesday’s practice a walkthrough, as they prepare for Sunday’s contest against the Carolina Panthers.Despite it being a light practice, a few Lions starters were not participating after suffering injuries in last week’s game against the Chicago Bears. Marvin Jones Jr. did not practice, which reflects Adam Schefter’s report that the Lions receiver suffered a bone bruise and is considered day-to-day. A’Shawn Robinson, who suffered an ankle injury but returned to play against the Bears, joined Jones on the sideline Wednesday and may sit out this week against the Panthers. The one piece of good news for the Lions, however, is that Darius Slay did return to practice after missing all of last week’s practices and Sunday’s game. Wednesday, he was still limited with that knee injury suffered right before the Vikings game, but is trending in the right direction. For the Panthers, most notably Golden Tate III Jersey , quarterback Cam Newton was limited in practice with a shoulder injury. Reports suggest that he did not throw during the media portion of practice, but that’s not the first time this has happened this year. Back in October, head coach Ron Rivera suggested this was the “new normal” for Newton. Still, it’s something to monitor throughout the week. Hockenson. While the board looked like it was falling favorable for the Lions to select a defensive player in the draft. Ed Oliver was still on the board. So was Devin Bush or Brian Burns. Instead, the Lions went with a Hockenson, the third tight end the Lions have taken in the first round since 2009. Hockenson is a well-balanced player that will both be a threat in the receiving game and as an in-line blocker. Combined with the free agency addition of Jesse James and the Lions’ tight end position is now much improved from last year’s disappointing squad. This pick puts into question the long-term status of Michael Roberts, who was selected in the fourth round just two years ago, but has disappointed on the field. For now, the Lions are done in the opening day of the draft, however http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-deshawn-shead-jersey , they could always trade up late.
