Dustin McGowan made those worries a nonfactor Zitat · Antworten

TORONTO -- Drew Hutchison has had his struggles at home this season. Air Jordan 1 Italia . But the Toronto Blue Jays right-hander has had success in his short career against the Baltimore Orioles. Hutchison put his Rogers Centre problems behind him at least for one brilliant night and continued his domination of the Orioles on Wednesday, allowing only one Chris Davis home run and one walk over 8 2/3 innings while striking out eight. With Jose Bautista providing a two-run homer and an RBI double among his three hits, the Blue Jays snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-1 victory over the Orioles. "Perfect timing, we were struggling a little bit," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "We needed that. He was good. He has pitched good ball games for us this year, but perfect timing for us tonight." Hutchison was removed for closer Casey Janssen after he walked Nick Markakis with two out in the ninth. Janssen retired Manny Machado on a foul to first to end the game. "Its a great start but its a little frustrating to walk the last guy, you dont want to be too picky," Hutchison said. The second-place Blue Jays (61-54) moved to within four games of the first-place Orioles (64-49) in the American League East and ended Baltimores three-game winning streak. The teams play the rubber match of the three-game series on Thursday. Hutchison entered the game with a poor record at Rogers Centre this season, 2-5 with a 7.71 earned-run average over his eight starts there before Wednesday. He is 5-4 with a 3.27 ERA in 14 starts on the road this season. Hutchison improved his record to 3-0 in six career starts against the Orioles, including a 2-0 record in four starts against them this season. "I approach it the same as I always do whether its on the road or here at home and whoever Im facing," Hutchison said. "You approach them all the same. Ive just had good success against them." Added Bautista: "I dont think its any surprise. Hes certainly capable of doing what he did tonight on a consistent basis. Its just going out and executing like he did today. He had a great tempo today, he kept throwing strikes and kept people off-balance. Obviously the results speak for themselves. "I was hoping he would be able to finish it off and get the complete game but maybe thats something to shoot for in the next start for him." Orioles left-hander Wei-Yin Chen (12-4) failed in his attempt at his sixth consecutive winning start when he allowed eight hits -- including Bautistas homer -- and four runs in five innings. Melky Cabrera also had three hits for the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays scored twice in the first inning. Cabrera singled with one out, Nolan Reimold singled with two out and Dioner Navarro and Danny Valencia hit RBI singles. Davis sliced the lead in half with his 19th homer of the season in the top of the second. "He moves the ball around, hes got movement on all of his pitches and he threw all of his pitches in any count tonight," Davis said of Hutchison. "After he gave up the home run he really buckled down. We just couldnt square anything up. A lot of pop ups, a lot of ground balls. He was mixing all of his pitches in any count, throwing a lot of strikes and keeping us off balance. "His change-up was good tonight, very deceptive. It looks just like his fastball coming out of his hand. When youre throwing 93-94 and youve got a good change-up to complement that, its tough to hit." Bautista followed Cabreras two-out double in the bottom of the second with his 22nd homer of the season to bump Torontos lead to 4-1. "I pitched it where I wanted to but he still hit it." Chen said through a translator. "Hes a great hitter. I wasnt able to control the game in the first two innings, thats what I failed to do. I was kind of upset about it." Bautistas two-out double in the sixth against left-hander T.J. McFarland gave the Blue Jays a 5-1 lead. It followed a single by Munenori Kawasaki, a sacrifice by Ryan Goins and a single by Cabrera. Hutchison said he made a minor adjustment in his bullpen session between starts. "Just a little tiny one," he said. "I was really hoping to get on top off the ball and stay through it and me and Navarro were on the same page pretty much every pitch tonight. We were just able to execute a lot of good pitches." His fastball command made his slider effective and he felt that his change-up was good. "I had every chance to finish it, but unfortunately I walked Markakis," he said. Notes: Blue Jays 3B Brett Lawrie (tight lower back) did not start on Wednesday. He returned from a broken finger on Tuesday and left after three innings when his back tightened. Manager John Gibbons said before the game that Lawrie was feeling better but that the club was awaiting the results of an MRI. à DH Adam Lind (right foot fracture) will begin his rehabilitation assignment in the Gulf Coast League on Thursday. à LHP J.A. Happ (8-5, 4.34 earned-run average) will start the series finale on Thursday against Orioles RHP Miguel Gonzalez (5-6, 3.93 ERA). àAnnounced attendance at Rogers Centre was 33,054. Air Max 90 Saldi . Pierre last November, only to watch St. Pierre leave the UFC octagon with his welterweight title belt and a split-decision victory. Vapormax Scontate . He even addressed his group of relievers Sunday morning. Dustin McGowan made those worries a nonfactor, at least for a day. McGowan pitched three-hit ball for seven innings, Colby Rasmus hit a grand slam and Melky Cabrera added a two-run homer as the Blue Jays beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-2. http://www.scontatescarpenikeoutlet.it/italia-vans-offerte.html . As the Winnipeg Blue Bombers opened their main training camp Sunday, Kuale is one of the newcomers brought in to bolster a sagging defence that ranked overall where the Bombers finished 2013, in the CFL cellar with a league high 585 points against. SAN FRANCISCO -- The Carolina Panthers can now say they have that signature win everybody has been waiting to see: on the road, against the reigning NFC champions, in November. While facing one of the NFLs brightest young quarterbacks, to boot. Carolinas swarming, opportunistic defence stopped Colin Kaepernick in his tracks. Drayton Florence intercepted a pass by Kaepernick in the final minute to seal a 10-9 victory Sunday to snap the San Francisco 49ers five-game winning streak and give the Panthers their fifth straight win. So much for the idea that Carolina hadnt beaten any team of consequence thus far. "I dont think it really bothers us, it gives us the opportunity to step up to the challenge. We did," said wide receiver Steve Smith, who had six receptions. "A win like this can boost us, a win like this can continue to give us life throughout the season, and make us feel like were working for something, and we are." Graham Gano kicked a 53-yard field goal with 10:05 remaining that held up as the Panthers (6-3) twice shut down Kaepernick on last-ditch drives with swarming defence. DeAngelo Williams broke two tackles for a 27-yard touchdown run late in the first half that pulled Carolina within 9-7. Gano missed wide left on a 48-yard field goal in the third period, but came through later. San Francisco (6-3) got the ball back with 5:25 left at its 1, then again with 1:02 to go. Phil Dawson kicked a season-best 52-yard field goal among his three for the 49ers, who lost tight end Vernon Davis and rookie safety Eric Reid to concussions. Carolina fumbled twice in the closing moments, but recovered each time. First, Jonathan Stewart fumbled and Mike Tolbert pounced on the ball. Cam Newton recovered his own bobble. This was hardly the highly touted showdown between 2011 No. 1 overall pick Newton and Kaepernick, the sixth quarterback drafted that year, in the second round. They roomed together during the scouting combine. For Newton, the numbers hardly mattered. "This game is a maturity jump for us, because in the past what Ive been a part of, weve been somewhat uncertain of how we will turn out in these types of games," Newton said. "We needed that type of game, just to be in a dog fight, in somewhat of a barnburner, to show what type of team this really is." Kaepernick went 11 for 22 for 91 yards with an interception and was sacked six times for a 42.0 passer rating. Newton was only slightly bbetter, going 16 of 32 for 169 yards, an interception and four sacks for a 52. Air Max 97 False. 7 rating. For two teams that have been putting up points at a prolific pace for the past month, the defences dictated this one. "As the game went on, it got more and more intense," Smith said. More than losing the game, the 49ers losses of Davis and Reid could be troublesome for the reigning NFC champions as they hit the road next week for New Orleans, then go to Washington. "Well do what we do, bounce back, regroup, refit and reorganize and come back this week," coach Jim Harbaugh said. Davis didnt return after sustaining a concussion in the second quarter, then Reid went down on a helmet-to-helmet hit on Mike Tolbert in the third. Earlier, Reid recovered a fumble to give him five takeaways in an already-stellar rookie season that also includes three interceptions. Frank Gore had 16 carries for 82 yards, accounting for most of San Franciscos 151 total yards. "For the most part, I dont really think they did anything that necessarily confused us," 49ers centre Jonathan Goodwin said. "They only gave up nine points. Its hard not to give them credit. We expected it to be a physical game. Did we expect to only score nine points? Nah." Dawson put San Francisco ahead on a 52-yard field goal on the teams opening drive, then kicked second-quarter field goals of 43 and 25 yards. But Kaepernick could never get his team in the end zone in its first game since a bye on the heels of a win over Jacksonville in London. 49ers pass-rushing specialist and 2012 All-Pro linebacker Aldon Smith played limited snaps after missing five games to undergo treatment for substance abuse. Wide receiver Mario Manningham started and had three catches in his season debut, nearly 11 months after a serious left knee injury that required surgery. Carolina got going after managing only minus-7 yards passing and 12 total yards in the first quarter. The Panthers finished with 250 total yards. "This one really did come down to the way the defence played," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. "Any time you put yourself in a position where you can force the other team to kick field goals, you get a chance to win." Notes: The 49ers also lost TE Garrett Celek to a hamstring injury in the first quarter, while DT Ray McDonald hurt an ankle. ... Panthers LB Chase Blackburn did not return in the second half because of a foot injury. ' ' '
